Something like an MMO, which I don't really think this is, it is more of a CORPG, is still an ongoing development from the time they start till the time they shut the doors. The GIANT RED FLAG your talking about, needs to be shoved in your faces and inform you that these folks are trying to make a living. They aren't perfect and they make mistakes and so far they have been pretty good at acknowledging those mistakes, but in the end, it boils down to money. Just like pretty much every business in the world, they are about making money. Quit acting like spoiled children and show some respect. If you don't like the game then move on, find something else that you want to play, but quit trying to ruin a company because they don't bend over and kiss your ass and give you tons of free stuff.
They've added a few STFs that I wouldn't even like and a lot of people don't like because ground combat sucks, some generic grindy Klingon PvE content that anyone with a lick of sense would know should have been in at launch, and a couple buggy fleet actions that they killed with level banding in three months. BTW, no, they couldn't charge for the upcoming content update if they wanted to. Sure, they could have tried (see: Vibora Bay), but we have a pretty good idea of how that would have turned out.
Not counting retrains because you can puchase those in game, character renames, and character slots (even though three is cheap to begin with), they've added $32 worth of stuff to the c-store in the same amount of time...that's the price of a full retail expansion in many MMOs. MAYBE if the game was in some semblance of a release date, that would be OK, but it STO's case, it would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic.

I dont like the stf missions either. Not because of any mechanical problems but because I don't like fleet type missions. I am more a single to duo kind of player. I agree the game had serious content issues from the start. Well, thats not entirely true. You can make it from level 1 to level 45 without repeating missions so content wise, they had enough in there to get you to max level. Now at max level you really are screwed as there isn't much to do at all.

I believe we are really taking this out of context. Your not paying 225 bucks to get an in game ship. It is a referral program to give incintive to people to get people in the game. The people going crazy about this, is not going crazy because they are trying to get people in the game. They are mad because the person that does the referrring gets an "all good things" galaxy ship. They are mad because they want that ship in game for them. While I don't blame them a bit about wanting the ship and I agree that an iconic ship like that should be in the game for all to get, You guys over here are just going way overboard with the cryptic hate.

Us lifers got the captains table. One of the 400 day rewards for playing the game is access to the captains table. Should we be pissed that you will have access to something that was exclusively given to us? I don't see a problem with it personally. I didnt buy the lifetime membership to get exclusive in game items. I bought the game because I liked it. I bought the lifetime subscription because I felt it will be worth it in the end. Both decisions I still do not regret.

I am defending their right to have the c-store. It is their game afterall. People will either buy the stuff in there or they wont.
I didn't count the respecs as c-store additions in my $32 figure because there are other options to get respecs. I didn't count renames just because. I didn't count the character slots because TBH I can't see why anyone would even want to level more than 3 characters through the exact...same...content, even though as I said I think three character slots is weak. The $32 figure was only ship skins, bridges, races, and (LOL) emotes. All these things are exclusive to the store. It can't be earned in game, which is BS in a P2P MMO. You can earn respecs in game, why not the other items?

1. who knows what that special ability is? To be honest, there is nothing I have seen in game that say OMG I have got to have that power. That cannon also takes up a weapon slot, so is it really superior to the others? That is yet to be seen.

3. I am still playing and I haven't tried to get anyone to play the game. I know my friends play styles and also know they probably wouldn't like the game.

Something like an MMO, which I don't really think this is, it is more of a CORPG, is still an ongoing development from the time they start till the time they shut the doors. No game has ever been bug free. Heck look at wow. It was bug ridden like mad at the start and over the years they have been able to get rid of many of them and make it a decent game. I dont like the stf missions either. Not because of any mechanical problems but because I don't like fleet type missions. I am more a single to duo kind of player. I agree the game had serious content issues from the start. Well, thats not entirely true. You can make it from level 1 to level 45 without repeating missions so content wise, they had enough in there to get you to max level. Now at max level you really are screwed as there isn't much to do at all.
You taling about respecs? Cause you get those free at each rank up also, yet if you want more, they do offer them in the c-store. Most games dont allow you to rename your characters, sounds like an advantage to me. Especially to those people that like to be dicks in game.
