Wrath of the Lich King gets 'beat'

bronecarbronecar Member Posts: 685

Saying you have beaten a game is usually reserved for single player games and not for MMOs like World of Warcraft but there are rare instances where MMOs are beaten.

Recently a player by the name of Caspi has beaten World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King. It sounds ridiculous but check out Caspi’s armory. He has completed every achievement in the game giving him 1054/1054 achievements completed. This means he has beaten the Lich King on 25 hard mode, got a Gladiator title in PvP and completed every difficult achievement in the game.

That’s about the closest anyone will get to beating an MMO.

I am not sure if I should be happy for them or pity them. I honestly can't imagine investing that much time in a game.

  • KryptyKrypty Member UncommonPosts: 454

I dont envy him at all. Seriously, you can not have a life, and you really cant be living a healty lifestyle.

And I havent seen many women flocking for the dude that beat WoW, lol.

I'll stick to my mediocre success and living a healthy life and meeting women :)

Endless additions of ZEROS.  Saddest thing I've ever seen.  All that and nothing of meaning or value to show for, what a complete and utter waste.

Most of u sound like hypocrites , i dont really see the problem with him playing the game so much , look at it this way if he enjoys the game fairplay he only plays one game and in turn saves money , where as most of us on here will play an mmo get board buy a new one , play somthing else keep switching .. hes just stuck with 1 game and u say he has no life.

I'd like to know his time /played.  I don't care how much people try to spin this into something positive.  What a collossal waste of time and energy.  But, he's only hurting himself.  It's sad, but i won't say anything further.

The differenc eis, even thos eof us hoping around on MMOs arent investing nearly as much time & effort into it. If im understanding this correctly, theyre seeing he is the 1st person to do this right? Well think of all the people you know who have been wow addicts for years, who spend 3/4 of their lives doing pretty much nothing but WoW, all day every day only stopping for sleep (usually less than they should), eat, and poop (both of these not always where they should be), skipping showering, shaving, cleaning their living space up, etc. Now if all of those people havent managed to achieve this yet, and he has, just think of the state he must be living in. All i can picture is a 3-400 lb guy sitting in some skidmarked boxers surrounded by empty boxes of delivery pizza, bottles of soda, and other trash with a rancid smell of something not so recently dead floating around.

Hell ive been accused of being addicted to MMOs on many occassions, but yet i still have a good steady full time job, clean up after myself, and have a girlfriend who i spend time with on an almost daily basis. It's tough to fit the real life stuff + game consistently, so if hes capable of gaming so much that hes the first to basically "beat" wow, i wouldnt be able to believe him if he claimed to actually have any sort of decent social life outside of wow, or a full time job.

The Guild Leader is 1052/1054.  There are 50 people within 20ish of it.  There are 100 people within 30ish of it.

Depending on when you had your account active or not, you will find yourself screwed.  My Lock does not have achievements for things which he has the loot from doing...so I really do not give much credit to them.  Yeah, it is a sense of accomplishment for some people that chase those things - but then again, it is WoW - it is not like there really is anything to do in the game.

If people spent the time going after the achievements instead of standing around doing nothing...well, anyway...

I miss the MMORPG genre. Will a developer ever make one again?

Awesome how stupid some people are. Just because you don't know how to play or aren't willing to do this achievement crap another one who does, has no life? Thats the reason why I HATE almost 90 % of the new Wow community.

    btw. you can't beat a MMO(rpg).

We need a MMORPG Cataclysm asap, finish the dark age of MMORPGS now!

Awesome how some people can't understand that in order to do what this guy did he likely had to play about 12+ hours a day for a very long period time, which does in fact translate to having no real life.

But if an MMPRPG can be beat, this guy's done it.

And I'm from the old WOW community.

The reason so few people don't have this is because they play alts, if you stuck to one charcater and that was all you plyed this is quite doable.

  • Just think if they never put in the achievement system no one would have ever been able to claim they had beaten an MMo, but owell. Guess there comes a time for everything.

  • ShastraShastra Member Posts: 1,061

Who cares? its his life to waste. We are no one to judge how he lives his life unless he is causing mass murder or something. I bet most of you criticising him have spent or still spend 8 hours or maybe more playing video games/watching television or any other useless activity which falls in category of 'you have no life'.

Yes he did take a long period of time, but that dosent mean he needs to play 12 hours per day.

How do you know he's not happiily married, good job, children with maids and wife that look after them?

Seems like a lost art here in this forum to wish someone well when they enjoy their game aye?
