Whatever happened to sending out useable discs at launch?

    Another week goes by.. no update from the company.

     

    Have they said anything in IRC?  Have they officially said they are not sending them out?

    Not to people who don't / never will play the game... no.

     And those that bought the boxed game with the expectation it would contain an actual useable DVD as stated by the company?  Will they be getting them?  Or has the company officially changed course and said NO?

    No response from SV after a week...

    I'd probably wait until patching isn't a bi-weekly / weekly feature. Until then it's a little pointless to ask for an updated disk because some people would want an up-to-date disk everytime a patch comes out.

     No.. people didn't buy updates AFTER release... They bought the release client.. which they never recieved.  The purchase clearly said "ALL PRE-RELEASE UPDATES FREELY SHIPPED ON DVD"

     

    SV promised, REPEATEDLY... that they would send out new (working) discs to people AT LAUNCH.... Launch was 2 months ago.

    Have there been any updates to this?  Have they given a revised timeframe for sending out useable discs to people?

    I searched the forums but the last few threads on the matter have gone unanswered.  Have they given any updates in the IRC channel?
