I just watched both these videos :

    Newest PvP video

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvhMp_IBbIc&feature=fvst

    An other pvp video

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8LAZe47BuE

I also beta tested the game for months, it is not very good, plays and feels just like those two videos.

    True!

It's not to the same level as UO (though UO had it's problems at launch as well), but MO is a fun game that is heading in the same direction that UO went in.

Given some time, Mortal Online will likely provide a very similar experience.

The game is exactly like UO and great fun too. A breath of fresh air having played every game since UO. MO is great, armor and a horse is easy to replace if lost it is a game that gives that feel good factor.

In my opinion every single facet of play in UO was superior to Mortal.  Every single one.  And that game is now 13 years old and played by most over dialup.  UO housing wasn't restricted.  It had ships.  It had a well developed magic system.  It had thievery in game.  It had multiple dungeons (not just one bugged dungeon).  It had an inventory system that made sense (ie. you put things in your sack and could cover them etc... not some "slot" system".   When you bought the game, the box arrived in a timely fashion and contained a manual, a cloth map (yes an actual map), a UO Pin, and believe it or not... most importantly.. a WORKING CD!!!

And most of all.. it had a rich and well developed world and history.  You were playing IN an Ultima game.

When UO came out with these features they were revolutionary.   They were the culmination of all the Ultima titles that went before it.  MO simply comes off as a pale copy.. inferior in every aspect.. and closer to a FPSMMO than to Ultima.

    YMMV.

Give MO a year and it will have all those things, digital download seems to be the way forward however.

Then sell it in a year.  Same thing with the digital download.   If they were incapable of deliving a useable DVD at launch they shouldn't have sold one.  Sorry.. but you can't say MO = UO 2010^

^ not really until middle of 2011....

I'd say this game may well be the spiritual successor to UO, sure it needs some fleshing out and maybe it'll never get there but if you're not playing it then why not stop bitching about it?

I agree with the OP some what but as we all know,

I'm sure one of the haters is running to a mod right now because the picture makes him cry and it'll get edited, but I stopped giving a **** a long time ago and it keeps them busy while they wait for Xyson to release!

Oh for sure man, if what I've seen is anything to go by the PvP is like playing rock and wrestle from like 20 years ago but with features turned off!

They'll switch to raging against NS after they play that!

This crap is nowhere near UO, it's a shame SV released this poor product and u should all have to be concerned about this shit; supporting this kind of soft house simply bury the standards of videogaming ...

I don't know much about the game but I heard when you kill somebody, you are marked as a killer or murderer or something similar to that and you are given a status that prevents you from being in a city without dying from guards.

If this is true, then this really disappoints me because I thought a game like MO would take an approach to PvP that allows players to do whatever they wanted.

This is not the game for you, in this game there are consequences for your actions. If you want a game where you can do w/e you want when you want with no consequences try another game.

MO is not a full on PvP game, its an MMORPG that has PvP in it.....
