But it's true when you use the topic title with any game, just because a game you like is disliked by others doesn't mean you should dislike it too, you should only dislike a game if you dislike it yourself from your own personal experience.

I'm going to download Dungeons & Dragons Online again and play that, stats are complex but at least it's more of an MMO I like, reguardless of the mouse button mashing.

Come back and give us a report at level 40.

My bet is that you have long since given up on the game and doesn't even want to talk about it.

Oh sorry I missread - "Aion wasn't really my thing. just because a game is disliked by others doesn't mean you should dislike it too".

I don't know, I remember enjoying this game but not enough to pay for it. I would of played it and continued playing and would still be playing it if the purchase had only been box price. To be honest my biggest turn off with MMOs is the subscription nowadays. I loved Cleric, it was wonderful, very fun healer type class, but again the game was a massive grind and you end up getting bored not wanting to come back and so forth. There just isn't enough to do and the economy is awful. Everything costs more than life itself, I remember i had 50 mil Kinah and lost it all just trying to craft. The proc system is a horribly implemented crafting idea, not well thought out. If they were going to apply that they should have made materials more abundant and ready to go so that prices wouldn't be so inflated on everything.

It is kinda fun the only thing I caution against is that once I hit level fifty I had a hard time doing anything since most people already have there stigma quests and campaign quests finished. Additionally you will be getting wrecked in pvp for quite a while since you will be significantly outgeared by people who have been playing since launch which is a lot of players.

I had nothing to do for a week, ended up buying this out of bordem and subbing. I played for fifteen hours straight the first play through, got to level nineteen, but for some reason after that I had no interest in the game, it seems I blew any interest I had in it out the window that day.

    I'm free on Friday.

Sometimes the people you label as 'haters' are really just sharing their own personal experience/opinions about a game in order to save you some money.

    1. Lost my WoW account to hackers and is currently banned.

    2. Codemasters themselves lost my Lord of the Rings account.

    3. Everquest 2 graphics work poorly when running on my high powered computer.

So that's the top 3 gone off from me. Personally I don't think Aion is that bad, it has good graphics, aerial combat and great character creation. As far as I'm aware the servers are going to merge so I'm wondering now what European server is worth rolling a new character onto. If nobody has any answers then should I always roll on the server with the best influence of either faction I pick?

Also, any good Legion/guilds whatever you call them?

I don't understand why you needed to justify how you spend your own money anyway. Unless you think your opinion matters to others and can sway them away from the things they may enjoy playing. Hence the reason you feel the need to explain why you're playing.

Trust me man, no one is going to knock on your door and demand an answer for wanting to play Aion. Hell I played and enjoyed the time I spent playing it, but moved on.
