Is that the same dupe exploit from 2 weeks ago or is that a new one?

    New one.

Whilst duping is a serious issue as far as game bugs / mechanics go there isn't anything to worry about. Duped items are deleted and people duping are temp-perma banned depending on how serious it was. The economy will remain fine after a few days if duping does occur. (Like we saw with the steel duping bug)

Actually, they never said exactly what happened with the last dupe bug.  A forum mod initially said something would be done, but then they just closed all the threads about it and pretended like it didn't exist.

omg.   That sounds like a Press Statement from the develoers.    This is why I continue to post here.   You just can't mislead people like this; it's extremely unfair.

That's not misleading I know GM's and that's what they're doing. Removing the items and any items crafted using said items and banning people who abused. So no it's not misleading.

Edit; For the steel bug that was, I havn't heard anything about a new duping bug :s

I wouldn't say but no there is no favoritism before you start that -_-

I have heard of such items such as steel spears disappear from friends ingame, I don't use steel as I'm primarily a mage now. So the evidence backs up what I know happends anyway.

Correct me if I am wrong.. but the price of steel is still in the 15-20 range.. as opposed to 50 prior to the exploit.  If all of the weapons, armors etc that were created with the duped steel were in fact removed.. why has the price never recovered?

Spawn rate of mobs has been decreased and the value of some items they dropped tweaked (reduced) coin now goes further because it's not as easy to get.

I think we both know that's not the reason, but there is no resolution to this circular argument so I'll stop pounding the point here.

On the topic of the State Of The Game.. what are your thoughts about the Thievery system implementation?  Will it have a positive effect on the game? Do you like the tweeks?  Think It was too much or too little?  Just right?

Just one last thing to the previous topic of discussion here. That is exactly the reason, no longer can you take a group of 8+ to a Wisent spawn and farm effectively. Any more than 4 at the one I use and you'll be running around a lot searching for mobs. Wolves used to provide huge amounts of money from Molarium which is next to worthless now. When people are capable of getting money easy they can afford to pay more for the things they need. Now money isn't as easy to get in the same quantities the price of items in general has fallen.

To theivery I've not had chance to get in and experience it yet. On paper and now being seen on the forums people spamming snooping is annoying. I'm guessing it will need extra balancing and possibly a risk/cost to it.

     Then just one last response...

So you are telling me that the demand created by all these items being deleted (and yes if it happened it would have to be a TON as the dupe bug existed for a month) has zero positive impact on cost?  Because the prices have dropped from 50 to 15-20 range.. WITH this supposed demand created by all the deletions.  So if all these items weren't deleted the price of steel would be 5-10G?

Again.. circular argument as there is no real data available to prove it, but there would have to be a cosmic coicidence to say that a slowdown in wisent spawns was exactly equal to the amount of duped steel and thus a perfect balance was formed...(and it would have to be a perfect balance as steel was 15-20 the day of the exploit fix.. and 15-20 today)

Anyhow,  Please let me know your thievery thoughts once you get in game.  I am curious as to whether they "fixed" them and will be able to satisfy both the thieves and the people who hated them.
