A Bladerunner MMORPG and a Shadowrun MMORPG would be awesome.
At least in my mind.
Not done by SOE, Cryptic Studios, Funcom, Mythic Entertainment, Turbine, NC soft, EA or Activision-Blizzard though, bleh!
Yeah, theres lots of bad game studios out there and I really don't think that CCP the makers of EVE should make these games either with their GMs helping the top guilds with unscrupulous methods.
All those memories will be lost in time, like tears in the rain.

Hell ya! We need a Shadowrun or cyberpunk mmo!!
They could take something like they did with some these newer mmo models and have it so people make their character based on the shadowrun game and then people get together and run missions, these missions could be done like APB or DDO sorta, all they need are a good random pool of missions. For a great example of this just play the Shadowrun game for the Sega Genesis.
Even a mechwarrior/battletech mmo could be done like APB and work great, people make their mech's and then go out play in them.
Sega Genesis?
Now seriously... in terms of Shadowrun we're talking the Pen&Paper RPG hopefully. And I definately don't want to see a Shadowrun MMO that isn't open world FFA PvP.
Oh and there's permadeath in Shadowrun, if you're in a place, where DocWagon(TM) can't save you.
I have a few, but most of all I'd love a Shadowrun MMO as long as it was done right. I'd hate for it to turn into a quest based solo session, I'd really like to see a Shadowrun team come together, get a mission and then have to do legwork before even approaching the target. Probably difficult to do the way I'd like to see it, at least without a human GM behind the scenes, but I can dream.
Another one is Warhammer Fantasy. I know that Mythic did Warhammer Fantasy already, but they really made a mess of it and it had very little in common with the actual world. 'A grim world of perilous adventure' is a line they use on the front cover of the manual, and Mythics version was far from it. Before Mythic took over another team were working on it, and from the screenshots I saw I think they would have made one hell of an awesome Warhammer game.
Shadowrun, Ghost in the Shell, Failed Cities Monologues, Cyber Blue, Deus Ex, Bladerunner, Battle Angel Alita or any good cyberpunk IP. For other genres, Fist of the North Star, Berserk, Yu Yu Hakusho, AirGear, I could go on forever.
A good old western mmo in open free roaming world as sandbox with free for all pvp cowboys vs indians
Games played:AC1-Darktide'99-2000-AC2-Darktide/dawnsong2003-2005,Lineage2-2005-2006 and now Darkfall-2009..... In between WoW few months AoC few months and some f2p also all very short few weeks.
It does come up a lot, but maybe someday a developer will read these post and make someone's dream come true.
As I always say, I want to see Wing Commander/Privateer combined to make a great space exploration combat mmo. If Chris Roberts is still around, he needs to be in charge of the project.
I know Space: Above and Beyond didn't do too well, but I think it could be a good mmo with space and ground combat combined together to control the universe.

I like those ideas.
I've also thought of something else. Babylon 5, Made by CCP of course, EVE on-line type universe, but with ground elements of something like Age of Conan. Now that would be fun!
An Avatar the last airbender mmorpg I think would be amazing if done right, not like m night shymalans disgrace of a film. I just think it would be awesome to pick a nation and customize and become your own bender of the elements. I cant understand why noone has created one yet.
Although I'm not sure how it would play out. Wolves, cats, and bears could be spec lines or classes. It would seem hard to balance though. A single bear is so much stronger than a sole wolf. I could see amazing pvp, but again I'm not sure it would make sense in the traditional role. Reapers aren't really free thinking beings. So wouldn't want people playing reapers, besides the fact that a single one could take out an entire pack of wolves if played smart. Hmm, it could play more like a RTS. Maybe you play the role of Kurians and Lifeweavers and get units to control. That would actually make much more sense.
I haven't read any of the books in a long time, but I used to love that series. It was a nice refreshing take on vampires at the time ( alien demi-gods who suck the life-force out of you through their mind controlled puppets that look similar to what we would consider a vampire.)
Song of Ice and Fire (George R.R. Martin)
My all time favorite series. The characters are so fully fleshed out. You love some, hate others, and watch them die. Multiple factions would be easy to create here. Not a lot of magic though, and I wouldn't want to see that ingame either. Strike this idea. I'm afraid it would butcher my series. No game should be made of this world.
Perhaps - A Song for Arbonne (Intrigue, mystery, spies, assassins, scouts, warriors, troubadours, warring nations, gods.) All the fittings of classic mmo, and no elves yay.

Is this tenth time this question is asked?
Anyhow my answer is still Mechwarrior/Battle Tech

how true! would still love to see a well made, dark blade runner (my favorite movie of all time) universe go online.
maybe possible players have to pass a special Voight-Kampff test first
something based on the drenai world by david gemmell..good IP and not limiting to any game.
March on! - Lets Invade Pekopon
Elder Scrolls MMO
Mass Effect MMO

C&C Tiberian Sun: Firestorm, MMORTS (could make it a MMOFPS)
Tbh i don't know many already existing IP's that would work well in a MMO format
Fere libenter homines id quod volunt credunt.
Among those who dislike oppression are many who like to oppress.

Shadowrun/cyberpunk or a western style MMO
That would be great

Guild Wars 2 is my religion
Babylon 5
Underworld IP vampiers vs lycans mmo

BREH!?
I'd like to see Babylon 5 done as an MMO.
I think The Black Company IP (by Glen Cook) would be a good IP for an MMO.
Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned.
Vampire Earth (E.E. Knight series)

Gumby, dammit.
Ok maybe not. But a Judge Dread MMO would be prertty drokken cool.
"Gypsies, tramps, and thieves, we were called by the Admin of the site . . . "
The Elder Scrolls MMO
Red Dead Revolver/Redemption MMO
GTA MMO (APB does not constitute as a game in this category)
Pokemon MMO
Shadowun
Otherland (Yea I know their making one but who knows when it will come out)
The Dark Tower
I'd rather see an MMO make its own brand new IP so its not restricted by lore.
Birthright !
not the best known d&d setting. But really really suited for a MMO.
Shadowrun
The MMO of MMOs for me would be World of Darkness - using the best from the Old and New versions of that RPG universe.
At the very least, including: Vampires; Werewolves; and Mages.
Unapologetically done as both a themepark - and - a sandbox.
The pve and pvp could be absolutely amazing.
And yea - I know that's a lot to ask for in a MMO.
And yea - I know they are working on one.
And yea - I'm scared they're going to ruin what could be the top MMO of all time.
Old enough to know better - young enough to do it anyway.
