Players get the opportunity to reenact the good book in The Bible Online. The game has entered the beta phase of development and devs are looking for folks to help work out the kinks in the MMORPG-RTS hybrid. In the first 'chapter' of the game, characters work their way through Genesis participating in some of the timeless stories.
The Bible Online: Chapter 1 – The Heroes is a browser game with mixed elements of RTS and MMORPG. As the leader of their tribe, players have to construct their villages, manage resources and the budget. At the same time, players must protect their tribe from the pagans and also from other tribes. The game provides an alliance system, through which players can establish alliance for their common interest to protect themselves. Playing the role of Abraham his descendants, players also lead their tribe and raise heroes through hunting and gathering experiences.

What.
Well this is bullcrap... no spells.... well only 1 guy can cast spells and it will be hundreds of years before he shows up and only one person can play him. To make matter worse he only gets to level 30 or so then he dies....
This game sucks!
Tell God. :P
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I get that message as well (GA, USA).
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein
"Graphics are often supplied by Engines that (some) MMORPG's are built in" - Spuffyre
I have to give it an A+ for subject, and for trying to take on something that big.
However I went to the website, looked at the screen shots and boy how sad can you get. Most of what I saw was tons and tons of text. I got to say I was expecting something a little more flashy.
I heard Jesus is OP and gets a self-rez. Nerf plz.
I choked on my coffee when I read this.
Stephen Hawking crits The Bible Online for over 9000.

As for this nonsense: if "they" can't get their message across by harassing you at your door every other week, they'll do it by trying to hook you into online games, instead, it seems.
So much for "games being evil," huh? Bandwagon for Attention! All aboard!
Wonder if Atlantis is included in the game?

It is unclear to me how this is an MMO at all. From everything I can find on the game it appears to be a single-player RTS with perhaps an in-game chat room.
In generaly I get the impression of an innocent, well-intioned idea that is just going to end very badly.
@MMORPG: I don't mind when you cover MMOs that aren't RPGs. I'd like to see a good MMORTS. However, please make sure that the games you cover actually satisfy the MMO part. A chat room does not make a game an MMO. A large community does not make a game an MMO. A "massive" number of users interacting with each other in-game in the same instance at the same time over the internet is what makes a game an MMO.
Guild Wars, Diablo 2, Dungeon Bandits, Team Fortress 2, and many other fun games DO NOT QUALIFY AS MMO. It is questionable whether or not this game qualifies, but based on their website I would say it does not.
Old testament stuff would actually be entertaining. Lots of death and such to inflict.
New testament would be snore.
Drop the next-gen marketing and people will argue if the game itself has merit.
Actually this would be a great setting for an MMO but from viewing their site it doesnt look like much of an effort.
WOW isnt great because it has 12 million players. WOW has 12 million players because its great.

Am I the only one one that think this is a really bad copy of Sid Meiers Civ but with a more religious setting.
As Southpark said: "Christian rock sucks" and it seems like Christian games sucks as bad.
I am not much for settings like this at all, it seems to me they tend to upset people one way or another but this is worse, someone made a something that isn't a MMO and slap the bible on it to trick Christian players into trying it.
People say that DDO and Guildwars isn't MMOs but this really isn't a MMO, at best it is a multiplayer RTS game.
what the hell is this?! loool
is there any form of pvp?
...almost nothing good ever comes out of korea, besides hordes of big boobed lolitas they never had and never will have...
Retired from: UO, DAoC, WoW.

Playing now: Fallen Earth
Waiting for: Earthrise, Mortal Online
St Michael as a level 8 unit. That's right, angels are at your command.
Looks interesting, but think it is going to be a epic failure. Too many problems and mixing religion always causes problems to the extreme, take for example the current troubles in the middle east...
Yeah, and don't forget the massive amounts of rape, incest and smitings. This game would make GTA's Hot Coffee incident look like Sesame Street. Better have an "M" rating.
LOTRO: Vulgrin - Dwarf Champion - Gladden
LOTRO: Truffle - Hobbit Minstrel - Gladden
Anyone want to join me in this game to preach Atheism..?
I thought this was a joke at first, but since it isn't old testament is the way to go. I just wonder if they will leave in all the rape, murder, and incest. I just reread genesis and if they are going all literal it's totally not a game/book for kids.
From the games website It looks like an odd mix of Evony and something you might find on bubblebox dot com.
What is with all the characters on the character select screen being white europeans IF moses and abraham and Israel existed they sure as hell weren't white guys. Now don't get me wrong I am a white guy. By and large prefer them but I'm also someone who doesn't like stupid people, and anyone who thinks joseph was a white guy is so far below stupid that stupid would make a good goal for them.
@ Aercus
I do cause I don't have that kind of time to waste. Maybe you could sit in world chat and point the kiddies to some of the inconsistancies in the bible. Also maybe some of the places that god is just a dick there are plenty of those in Genesis.
I don't believe that unit was ever in game.
Screenshot or it didn't happen.
Nothing says irony like spelling ideot wrong.
