Chances are the fishing system was already on the 'nearly done but not implemented list' may as well throw it in there. The underdevelopment section shows you what their priorities are. It's all there in black and white. Last sentence, who exactly designed the fishing system then? I'm sure none of us know exactly who did it.

So as I said.. fishing.. nice to have, but as is the general theme of this thread.. probably not the best use of the lead developer's time... nor the programers.
Lol, Henrik is full of him self as usual.. it might be some news for him, but I don't play MMOs for a fishing simulator, seems such a waste of Devs time to tme at this moment. I wish Devs would understand that games are not a second job to spend hours on fishing in, but are for fun..

I think fishing would be a "Nice To Have".. a fun diversion.. maybe a skill line some folks would pursue for fun/profit. To me though, having the lead developer and programmers spending ANY time on something like this given the current state of the heart of the game, is kind of like having your mechanic installing a nice new stereo system in your care when the steering wheel only works 75% of the time and it's missing brakes..

Those are part of the UI that is getting an upgrade and Flash support.
The basic fishing system doesnt rely on any UI or Flash so it was able to be done now.

Why would any MMO want flash support?
The flash support is for UI design. Its much more versatile and friendly to use.
Don't worry, this is not uncommon stuff. MANY games have flash based interfaces.
Seems there is some stigma about flash now with this whole mobile phone thing.
