When will you guys learn not to have high hopes from MMOS these days? never every pre order a MMORPG and always wait for good 6 months to 1 year. I cancelled my pre order after playing OB. I have learned my lesson. I will check back in a year or so. 50 bucks is a lot for me these days in such harsh economic times.

It is not surprising that alot of folks would get hyped up about a product being released by an old favorite. Us guys will continue to look towards the big developers to be the ones to provide our next favorite MMO.
Alright All lets get three things off right away I have been playing the open beta quite a bit and as long as you take all three of these thing into account the open Beta is actualy not bad to play and is quite enjoyable.
1. FFxiv is not a P.C game it is a port of a PS3 upcomming game that for reasons unknown to us is being released on P.C first . ( Proberly purely to fine tune the game for PS3 at the expence of P.C players.)
2. FFXIV is meant to be played on a Controller ( This is the second asumption we have to make though i have found if you take the first asumption playing FFXIV isnt to bad on keyboard and mouse.)
3. Square Enix for the most part have no idea how to code for a P.C. (if you have been using the game updater you know exactly what i mean even a 15yo could code a better updater program then SE.)
Now these three asumptions Taken into account FFXIV actualy isnt a bad game to play i have been playing on and off for the last 4 weeks a little in the cosed beta and a little in the open beta I have a Physical level 13 ,Level 11 Botinist , Level 7 Lancer and miner , and a few others. The game is well placed together the software mouse comes back to assumption 3.
I dont really care about content as the post at the bergining stated if they fixed the UI issues and the rest of the issues stated it be a nice game to play but then again we have to take in asumption 1,2,3 and then it all makes sence.
SE isnt building this game for P.C players we are the ginnie pigs to test all the problems then bring something nice out for the PS3 if this wasnt the case the release dates for both would be the same .
Though i have been enjoying playing the game there is defently room for improvement Personaly i think they get the UI right then worry about content but lets see if they can pull off a miricle in the next 2 weeks to release.....

Sorry OP that SE made you that upset. I am even more sorry that I love this game and have enjoyed playing it for 3 months now. Sorry that bugs exist in beta and get fixed in beta and constantly while the game is live. Really sorry this game isn't for you.
Wouldn't you say having an open beta, and never lying about any feature or anything in the game is the opposite of fooling so many????...
First of all those willing to turn a blind eye to a lazy development and many problems,in FACT do not care about the game,i really wanted this game to be great that is why i do care about it's state.Pre orders are the people that ruin much chance for the game to be improved,Square sees an instant cash flow and will only make sure you can login in and play.
Simple question,if Square really cared about feedback and correcting any issues,then how on earth can you have a definite release date with no change?Wouldn't they need time to correct issues,therefore delaying the release?I guarantee this game will not delay their release date one single day,this game is going to release no matter what state it is in.
People should believe a lot of what is being said about this game it is true,to not care,then you really call yourself a FF fan?I don't i think you are just a person who is happy hanging out with other people in a game and don't really care bout the state of the game.

Wizardy, that is just BS in my opinion. SE actually delayed the release of the PS3 version due to a technical issue. Just chalk it up to the fact that beta testing may not suit you. If you want games in final form just play release versions.
Again as my former post i think FFXVI is a good game i will be buying it even though it is floored and i ahve seen alot of games go from beta to release and have lots of thier issues fixed in that time. Though i still cant help feeling that it was only released on the P.C so that the PS3 version would be better think about it we as P.C gamers focus more on how a game is played not just how button mashy a game is.

I thought Aion had more content at the start than FF14, though to be fair it is still beta and they might add more for release.
I think these negative feedback threads are good for the MMO gaming community though, it should motivate more players to try the OB to see for themselves rather than blindly ordering the game or turning their noses up just because it's FF14. No one wants to see thousands of people waste money on a box sale or miss out on the start of what might prove to be a very successful game.
