Reading this thread has really cheered me up. As a Lifetime subber on Evernight in Europe I was more than a little annoyed about Codemasters delayed F2P launch, but now I see it as an (unintentional) stroke of genius - Let the hordes of impatient gamers roll on US servers, clog them up (thus sorting out the ones who are truly commited enough to stand the wait, from the merely curious), and once Europe comes online, only the commited ones will re-roll over here (after all, "those US servers were way too busy").

It's the perfect filter system.
Gotta Love Codemasters!
You do realize those queue are there only US prime time. European players don't get those large queues at their times. They can enjoy the content with lots of other people to play with without much problems. I know I do
If codemasters had delivered on time I would have played on their servers now and give them my money. They lost me now and I think I'm not the only one.
F2P screwed this game. I just cancelled my sub and deleted the game. Screw them. Tired of waiting
People was worried that F2P would ruin the community with attracting the "I want it all and I want it now" crowd
Seems like it is having the opposit effect.
They are having technical issues because alot of people want to play. Shit happens.
Thing is, this guy had an account he canceled. Let me spell that out for you. He cannot log onto a game that he has paid for due to the influx of the F2P crowd. The freebies have nothing invested and nothing to lose but time. Outfctrl does. Shit happens but when it costs money the shit stops, at least in his word. Hope this clears it up for you.
I think it's silly and I think it shows impatience. So if I go to Disney world and there is a long line I should stomp out because I paid to get in and to "jump into the fun"? When I go to the subway in a bit and there is a mob of people waiting for the T should i just stomp out because I paid to be whisked off to work and now I'll have to wait for the next train?
Stuff happens. This is not the first time a person has ever waited in a line and not the last time.
It just seems like drama for drama's sake. Especially because this initial rush will die down in a bit. So is taking a break from the game for a week not ever an option?
I think people need to start putting things in perspective.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
I am pretty sure last night when I logged in the only server with any sort of que was Brandywine. I played on Silverlode till about 10PM with no lag or rubberbanding. LoTRO was # 10 again yesterday on Xfire with over 13K hours, not quite the 14K they saw Sunday but close enough. Servers down for another hour this morning so they are working on beefing them up and keeping them tuned.
The big issue of Sunday evening was a equipment failure in the network system, not a individual server and that was fixed. Will it ever break again? I would say probably beccause anything can and will break. Will it be the norm, no way. I think even Turbine was surprised at how popular this would be.
i'm suspicious there isn't that much demand for the game trust me
Well, simply put, your wrong; trust me. Lotro was second behind Aion in NA for subs, and now the player base is exploding because of f2p, the demand is there, it's a good game.
I don't know how all of you are having bad luck with the queue, I only have a premium account and I've never had to wait to login to Riddermark.
This!
I know several people who are very interested in trying it out (and are) and several others who are returning because it is free and multiple P2P MMOs can be difficult to justify.
