You may have noticed the "one-time password" prompts on the login screens of Square-Enix and the beta (assuming you used them). Once you have tied your security token to your account, you can basically use that in conjunction with your other password to make it even more secure. What you basically do is push a button and a password comes out that is tied to the approximate time of your login. Since each token has a unique time in it, it adds that much more difficulty for a hacker to get in.
This is just like padding a resume, they left it off the standard edition to pad the CE list to make it sound a little better. They both have it though.
I think they put the '30 days of free game play' text in the NA CE list to try to make it sound as good as the EU edition. lol I'd really like to have that map!

"The world economy is not that great, but we need to give the Gaijins some reason to buy the collector's edition."
"That is not hard, we simply use the world economy to our advantage."
"How so?"
"Well, for example, the Americans are feeling inadequate with all that debt, lets give them a certificate so they can verify their own worth."
"And the Europeans?"
"Include a shotglass and a map. They'll forget their troubles if they're drunk enough, but may need a little help navigating when they're that badly hammered."
Oh I get it your saying americans feel worthless? and euros just get to be good timing drunks? Racist much?
How about you keep the American analogy and I can make you a new one for the Euros
Like the Euro's need a map to track down a Dentist or a shower.

Deliberately racist, but lightly so, and in the name of comedy. I was telling that, not seriously, from the perspective of a xenophobic Japanese game developer. I myself am an American of European descent, so I've made myself the butt of the joke that reflects what may have gone into deciding the collector's items as a potentially humorous situation that reflects ignorance of outsiders.
If anything, I think the Japanese suffered the most racial brunt from that joke, as I'm sure they know more about the sensibilities of foreigners than the joke portrays, but one hopes they understand this was merely a lighthearted jibe at best.
Hrmph, my humor is almost always too sophisticated to get.

See? Cut me some slack, it's not an easy joke to spin. In the European's case, you have to work both the shot glass and the map into it, as seen from a pair of Japanese developers when choosing the collector's items.
