You can use your live client. This is nothing different than regular patches - you'll just have to patch your current client (something about 920MB of size) with this patch and you'll be ready to go

1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical.
2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself.
3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose.

Servers were down at 7:00 GMT for maintenance, and of course upgrade. Somewhere I read they were bringing them down as early as 1:00 AM

Dnote posted a couple of hours ago that they hoped to bring up the patch servers soon but my client isnt patching yet.
But now the CM forums have been dead for awhile so don't know anymore news. I guess it couldn't take all the traffic.

Forums dead and Patcher fails with an Hash error. I can't believe CM screwed it up again, will be atleast a day if i have to download the whole client with that pando crap.
My client is patching now after getting the hash error for a couple of hours.

Yeah its patching now, was really getting pissed there for a moment, mostly with forums breakdown and being unable to see what the problem was about.
My client is not doing anything. Just shows that the test server is offline.
Do I need a new client?
It's a CM-fail-day as usual... Every patch since last year Cm managed to screw up in one way or the other. Right now I'm installing / updating my LotRo client and it seems to hang a bit. That after a download of a massively 50kbps >:(
Lets hope when the thing is done, the servers are stable and LotRo F2P is worth it. I might even buy MoM again ;-)

OMG. After a 10-minutes of complete nothing (examining program) it started to download again. First file at 1400kbps and the 2nd at 700kpbs (busy now). Lets hope I'll be able to play tonight (when servers are up)

If its talking about the test server then you have the beta client, and yes you need a new one.
I just started the updater... and i got .... a hash error... How surprising.

I got hash error almost instantly aswell, but rebooting the launcher worked. After the "preloaded" updates, it crashed again, reboot -> works.
Forums have taken a complete dump. Lol. What a fail.............again.
I thought the US update only lasted 8 hours or so?
By that calculation the update should have been finished at 9 AM.

Had the has error on my pc, but gf's pc (which I started first) didn't get the error. Been a bit of a heavy f5 mashing day so far waiting for informationof any substance
Still wouldn't call it a failure yet, granted most of the day has gone, but the game might be up in time for prime time
Seriously, they are already 2 months late. You would expect, with the preview event last week and all. That they had more than enough time to prepare.
The servers have been down for over 14 hours now. And not a single shred of info has been given all day. No ETA nothing. Just the hash error thingie with the patcher.
They can't even keep the forums up and running. lol. It's been up and down all day. Now it has taken a complete dump.
