Well if it IS true, that would suck because I will have nothing to do for an even longer time. It's hard to find anything good to play that is worth giving up the little free time I currently have to play it. There have been ok games and pretty decent games but nothing that is worth spending my money and wasting the little free time I have while I finish my last year of college.
I pray that it is wrong because I was both really looking forward to this game coming out soon, and in serious need of a awesome MMO.

Lol i dont even wanna play gw 2 and i dont belive this. Every thing ive seen on gw 2 states a 2011 release date so that would be a huge push back for a game that has been releasing info at an accelerated rate.
GW2 was announced in development back in March 2007.
You also kinda have to wonder how much the info got sloshed in translation from Korean to English. All kinds of transposition errors can happen, especially with prepositional phrases.

Unfortunately the info we have about their schedule dates back to last year's report that states beta will be in 2010 with a 2011 release. I high doubt that their internal schedule is still that. I'm still guessing a late 2011 release with a beta near release.
If memory serves me correctly Aion was developed in Korea by ncsoft and released there, then about 1 year later, after translating to english and North America beta testing, it was released here. It is possible that the info the OP provides is true but not complete. Perhaps the info is in relation to the Korean beta testing and release. Could the GW2 release be the reverse senario? Released here in 2011, then tranlated and beta tested for a 2012 release in Korea? I believe the site quoted for this info is an Korean site?
Oh I love the irony of this community. You all b**** and whine about how all these new MMO's are released unfinished and without enough content but when a game release is later than expected you b**** and whine more. Sorry people you can't have it both ways.
Let's make a petition that we want gw2 in 2011! ncsoft pls dont f*ck with us!
Yes, please rush out an unfinished product...pleassssseee!
As long as that is sarcasm I am with you.
First of all is the source unreliable and are writing about another game. Secondly I rather have a finished game in 2012 than a halfdone in 2011 no matter how many petition you guys make.
Early release is the biggest fault of almost every MMO and the main reason Wow is still ruling. Wow in itself should have been released a bit later too but at the time it was still miles better than the competitors.
My personal belief is still that GW2 will release in Q2 or Q3 2011 but even if it doesn't I can live with that.
Premature release is what made Vanguard, AoC, FF XIV, WAR and many other games from successes to failures or at least small niche games.

I foresee a Q1 2012 Release of GW2
The beta process will begin either mid december this year or mid February next year and it'll drag on til they're perfectly satisfied with the amount of content and polish

Exactly what I was thinking. I too believe that the information is for Korea and possibly the rest of the world. But Guild Wars would be hitting US before that, which freaking awesome because all the other MMOs release in KR first >.<
Whoever wrote this article, its very contradicting (at least the line about GW2).
"Blade & Soul will be mainly modified in 2011 and Guild Wars 2 may start CBT simultaneously" --> simultaneously means at the same time meaning while B&S is being modified in 2011, it will leave space for GW2 to launch CB in 2011.
Then this line: "We are dedicated to doing modification work in 2011." Namely, Blade & Soul and Guild Wars 2 won't be tested in 2011."
Whoever cant see stupidity in this topic, isn't thinking straight. We already discussed this at gw2guru, so dont believe all this nonsence. Anet has the main word anyway.
Funny that so many in this thread missed what itomic97 pointed out. I agree that the article writer gave contradicting information.
After my experince with turd called FFXIV i say take as much time as you need to finish GW2. People who are moaning and complaining now will do it all over again once GW2 is rushed to release. I would rather have a polished end product with enough content to last me for months then another garbage unfiinished product like FFXIV.
Who could have thought that WOW could bring super power like USA to its knees?

Well, i think 1 more year of development is enough for at least public testing, 2 years is too much beacase I'm so inpatient. 2 years from now a world could end xD
This source seems accurate but not credible, I personally know some people in good places and can confirm that GW2 is likely a 2012 release.
I have friends in better places and can confirm that it will, indeed, be a 2011 release.
Nope you dont, you just have wishful thinking and the ability to let that skew reality.
RobertDinh has spoken. I suppose I now have to tell my friends that they don't exist? They're going to be dissapointed, for sure. This will probably come as quite a shock...

I don't believe anything reported by MMOSite.
The NCSoft report did not contain these words.
If this is legit it will eventually appear on more credible websites.

Well it seems this holds true for Blade and Soul. I wish ArenaNet would come out and say something.

The problem here is that massively is simply referencing mmosite... a reportedly unreliable source.

Exactly. I still think Q2 2011 release.

Drop the next-gen marketing and people will argue if the game itself has merit.

While all you guys wait for GW2, I will be playing TERA. Have fun waiting.

Fail logic is fail (fail troll aswell?)
What stop people from waiting for GW2 and playing Tera at the same time
Whatever, people that say they are not going to wait are going to atleast test it when it releases, be 2011 or even 2014...
BTW mmosite credibility is so flawed that I could not believe in this, and have you seen another site posting about it? no, what a coincidence uh
