If flying someone in is a sign of a project in trouble, then some of the projects I worked on had to have been an utter failure.
I had a small module that wasn't behaving like the other party thought it would so I went to that site, figure out why and got it resolved. I could have dragged it on for a few days with emails / conf calls and what-not. but I said 'screw it' and got it resolved that day.
I guess in MMO terms this is 'significant trouble'?
Mind you, I drove rather than fly so maybe it is 'fairly significant trouble'?
Gdemami - Informing people about your thoughts and impressions is not a review, it's a blog.
LMFAO wow. That reaction was gold. Listen, kid, I didn't say anything about Bioware, I don't give a crap about Bioware. You're reading comprehension is REALLY bad. Do you just have these champion fanboy responses chambered and ready to fire out of context? Save it for someone who is actually trying to bash Bioware.
So a 30 old year guy telling a 35 year old guy a kid ?
Woot you wouldn´t give crap why are you still argueing ? its somethings good to be quiet and silent .
Instead or trolling on , Your reading comprehension is none excistence the way you formulate your lines .
Do you even read your own sentences ? god sake , lets analyse your line .
LMFAO (thats not even true you were not laughing you were irritated) ,
Listen kid (could have clicked on my name and seen my age ? that alone shows you have no itnerest to even do reserach )
Ony reason people say listen !! is when they are powerless and ignorant , if i wasn´t listening i wouldn´t bother replying .
You dont give crap about BIOWARE !!! , then why are you even here ?
Godsake get real please go learn some education , and not act like a example for a 16 year old kids you are 30 .
You completely missed his point. You turn everything into Bioware vs Blizzard, which to you is of course equal to good vs evil.
Or maybe your English is as terrible as it appears to be and you're misunderstanding everything.

Whats so hard to understand ? its a interview with bioware employee
People bring up there opnion based its PR , thats fine and all , but then people go deeper into garbage and there mindset is primitively set .
Then resort to childishe pranks and remarks , dont want to listen or explain .
But other should listen to them .
Right on people , it takes two to communicate and all the ROFL and LMAO and other silly internet remarks.
Even from the one above , only shows totally disturb patterns .
Hurray sheep mentality without reasoning ,
Its ok to state your opnion , but its worthless to just state a opnion without being open to the other one .
You know primary problems of adults these days , is that they can´t even educate there chidlerns , but blaim everything on somebody else , they dont even listen to there childeren .

Do you read anything i said ? or just remark i am beter then you ?
Cause i dont feel that way . yes my posts comes over arrogantly , or maybe sometimes badly written .
But the toughts are meant well . or in some cases totally relevant to that person .
So why do you post ? care to explain so we can debate , or just stating a opnion thats obvious and correct .

The only Mythic-specific detail Louse was notably wrong on was that one rather private one regarding Sanya (but note he did know there was a lot of conflict going on about it). Well, it's common sense to not just take every comment of some blogger as gospel, merely because you like what he says.
But when they blogger is backed up by actual employees and has extremely specific details and knowledge about the workings of a company, THEN you can, which he did. The Sonya thing made this very clear. The idea he presented as the reason she got fired DID happen in the office, it just wasn't the reason she was fired, as that was kept personal, but you can tell, with common sense, that he likely observed the incident/that was the summation of events that got passed around the office.
Your forgetting a very important fact that hes a mythic employee not a bioware employee and he has something like 7 or 8 states between him and the production team that is making the game.
Just wanted to remind you of that bit. he speculates that that SWTOR will fail, that part was never proven.
Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.

Funny, I read Sonya's post and it was very clear that EALouse had completely missed the ball where she was concerned. She pointed out as much.
But maybe that's because I don't read posts with a tinfoil hat on.

As every reasonable and intelligent person would know, the fact that someone is right in some things doesn't mean he's right in all things, nor if some comments are true that this means all his comments are being true. The fact that Sonya already corrected him on several themes where he should have known better already shows that there's guesswork and subjective speculation regarding the department he's closest with, let alone things happening far off.
Besides, if he is who he claims to be then he's an ex-employee with a grudge and an axe to grind, the fact that he comments upon departments he has nothing to do with, that he states George Lucas is panicking, the unfounded claim of 300 million dollars and that he claims that SWTOR will the biggest failure in history and claims to speak for everyone, doesn't make his statement more valid, it only makes it more suspect of him lashing out as hard as he can towards his ex-boss that he's angry with.
That doesn't mean there aren't some truths to be found in his blog rant. But admit it, you only believe his word as 100% truth gospel without any scepsis at all, because you have a thing against themepark based MMORPG's, with SW:TOR among them. I can recall that you stated that you hoped they all would fail since themepark-style MMORPG's aren't MMORPG's at all, at least in your eyes.

And yeah (to respond to maskedweasel), if the development was going really well then they wouldn't have to fly any people from other projects in to resolve issues as the MASSIVE team on TOR would be handling things just fine. You don't pull significant people from other projects if development is proceeding roughly according to plan. If there's a problem or kink, however, you certainly do get your best and brightest to resolve it.
Who are they bringing in? It makes all the difference. Who's to say these people are "significant"? Who is this guy and what relation does he have to the project? What information do we have aside from something someone said one time?
The only thing I've seen or heard about it has been from you, and only you. Not saying you're wrong in what you heard from whoever but just because it has been said doesn't make it fact.
Well, I've heard it from a few different sources. The one I remember is from Gamebreaker, like I mentioned.
Granted I can't prove beyond a doubt that what I said or have heard is true. But it all hangs together fairly well with everything we know, so it seems likely to me.
Edit: regarding the late reply...I'm not really invested in this argument at all (well, and I've been sick). EALouse seems like a real Mythic employee to me based on what we know and what other former mythic employees have said. There have been other sources saying that TOR is having some trouble, so that fits with what Louse said. It doesn't mean his analysis that it is doomed to fail is right (as I said). It just means (if true, which I think fairly likely) that it is having a rough patch right now and people are going to be working on fixing it. The fact TOR is probably not going to be released in the Spring now goes along with all this information.

Everyone gets so worked up over this.
But how do you trust an anonymous writer? Even when you know for sure he was not accurate about at least one detail.
Isn't he a game artist for Mythic? How would he have details about the workings of the TOR project that would not reach investors for EA? It seems like hawkish investors who have real money invested in EA would be much more in tune with what's going on with EA and their biggest project so far. More than EA Louse and much more then gamers who have heard rumors....
So how do you trust gamer rumors that don't jibe with what everything hawkish investors are seeing? After all if TOR does badly it could ruin the company and its stock. But all is quiet on the financial front...

I don't have to trust him. As I said there are other sources that indicate TOR is having some problems at its current stage of development. I do believe he's an actual employee, and I think he is saying what he believes to be true (which isn't the same thing as the truth, per se).
What are you referring to regarding investors? Are you just talking about people who invest in EA and whom EA has a lot of vested interest in making sure they feel comfortable with how they are doing? Not that potentially temporary problems perhaps a year out from release is necessarily anything to get worried over. Anyhow, your thesis here doesn't make a lot of sense, since you don't see drops before an MMO release with a lot of other MMOs that do horribly (SQE for example). I suppose you didn't bother to test your hypothesis?
Anyhow, if TOR bombs then EA will be fine and continue on. Yes, it is an expensive project, but they have other sources of revenue. What you saying is like people saying that FFXIV is going to ruin SQE. Both are simply too big and would have no reason to bet the life of their company on one product. It wouldn't be good for the stock, but it wouldn't be close to a deadly blow to the company (or the stock itself, for that matter).
Like I said, people are getting really overworked about this.
The Louse guy sounds a lot like any other tor troll... DOOOOOMMMM DOOOOOMMMM DOOOOMMMMM!
He obviously has a chip on his shoulder and will say anything to make his former employer look bad.
ToR will do fine, even if it is having issues, which are only rumors, but if they are, I'm sure it's nothing they can't fix. If there's a delay, it's not the end of the world, happens all the time.
