Guild Wars 2 looks the most interesting out of the bunch given the fact it has no subscription fee and it is deviating a lot from Guild Wars 1, which I wasn't really crazy about. If this game manages to become a solid title for PvP, it could break the stigma that a free to play subscription game can deliver on the same level as the standard pay to play.
Whether it will actually happen remains to be seen, but the possibility is interesting.
GW2 is not so vastly different from GW1. It is a true sequel with upgrades where needed. Everyone screamed for open world areas not just towns and they got it, they screamed for bigger battles and they got it, and of course it will have everything that was good from GW1. I still don't imagine many people who dislike GW1 will all of the sudden love GW2. It is way overhyped here just like AoC, WAR, etc. I usually am part of the hype but with GW2 I can see through it. It will be an awesome game, but it won't live up to everyones expectations here.
Rift on the other hand is flying under the radar. It is perfect to come out strong and build up hype after launch. I hope it stays right where it is at.
I am just thankful we don't have to listen to trolls talk about GW2 sub numbers compared to box sales. What MMO player wouldn't pick up GW2? No sub for a game that good? An RPG that good? Everyone of us should have it. Still I am anticipating Rift more.
Woah, you're trolling moar than /b/ does, mahboi.
GW2 is not so vastly different, how?
Differences:

Well,... It's online?
It's in Tyria!
THAT'S IT. I swear to God.
This is you:"HAI! I MAKE COMPLETELY BASELESS CLAIMS ON GAMES I HAVEN'T EVEN LOOKED UP ON WIKIPEDIA! SO WAIT, GUILD WARS 2 WAS IT'S NAME, RIGHT?!"
Rift doesnt really sparcle to me. Its just pure solid with fair graphics and fair gameplay. A game that seems playable for a long time.
Tera would be my second call. I like the enviroment and the combat. However a bit too PvP'ish and korean for me.
GW2. For me it doesnt belong here. I dont know why. It is a MMORPG however it doesnt have a subscription. That makes it a box-sale sport, and i doubt the endgame will hold enough interest for others than casuals. However a really good side game to a subscription based game. GW2 wins this pole with miles, due to the fact that it caught interest in both P2P and F2P lovers.
DC universe holds no interest for me. and SWTOR looks like... garbage... It cant be right that the graphics and combat is so bad. They might have put their focus elsewhere, but this does in no way justify their budget!
Now that's a common misconception about MMOs that I hate. That an MMO can't be a true MMO without taking a percentage from my wages. As if a subscription-less MMO cannot be supported, without limiting the gameplay and opening up a cash shop. All I've really gotta say here is, look at what ArenaNet did with GW1 and expect them to treat GW2 the same way (except now the game won't be instanced-based).
TOR has some new things, but I think they are few and lack movement in combat (i'm more of a Jedi Academy combat). I think the fact that it has the name and lore of Star Wars gives too much atention to the game.
TERA is great in graphics and has the new kind of combat taken from shooters. I was really hyped for it in the beguining. But the truth is that it is equal in all the other aspects to all the mmorpgs before, and is a korean game = heavy grind. Of course it's a good thing they are thinking of building a westernized version of it, but how much different from the korean version will be? Apart from the anime characters, graphics and new style of combat, it still lacks innovation in a lot of things and the risk of hyping it too much can be disappointing.
DCUO has some cool things. I just searched for it recently and it has a lot of good things in combat and all. BUT I only have the opinion of it beeing good for bosses and PVP. I have to search it more though, so I can't say much more about it now.
About Rift, i don't know much about it. I surely have to learn about it in the future, because it seems that a lot of people believe in the quality of the game.
Why do I chose GW2? Because it has a lot of advantage that other games lack:
Dynamic Events (actions of players change the world around them untill other players decide to change it again), Personal story (different story for each character a player has, even with the same race and profession), Skills, skill combinations between players and a different kind of skill-bar that improves the importance of each skill and making a personal build, Traits system, no holy trinity professions, Open world PVE, Sidekick system, Dungeons change themselves and have their own story, new kind of rewards (avoid un-wanted loot), the end of grinding and senseless quests, new kind of combat too, great graphics either. And in top it's A-net we're talking about: they proved us they are professionals and hear the players, they give us all the info about how the game developpment is, they only talk about the things already implemented in the game and all their good work is proven really good with B2P payment model in GW1.
There are so many things to talk about in GW2 (and i must have forgotten something), all the things are finally something improving the way mmorpgs are done for the last 10 years. And all of the things they bring make sense.

Only TERA for me.
TERA all the way!!!
Guild Wars 2
it has a simple advantage of being B2P instead P2P and it doesn't offer less than any P2P out there
beautiful graphics, game balance, innovative combat system, customization, server wars, high-end pvp, underwater content
not to mention the awesome leveling system which will never lead to players hating and fighting over mobs nor standing for hours looking for a party
i have to say 2 years ago i though of not playing GW2 but now that i see what they've done and compare it to any rival game out there it simply wins

Well aerana net GW2 hype is going to kill them .
Its one thing to hype something up , but they are overdoing it .
This going to coming back to haunt them .
So far rift looks the strongest of those 5 candidates cause they already have there product ready to go .
Well DCU will carve its own public cause its hero mmo and on consoles .
Swtor will do the same , cause its bioware and a sci fi .
The others well i welcomed competition but lets see what the rest does , no more talk polished gameplay has arrived .
Not polished into the beta trash can you go .
C-c-c-combo breakah

Rift.
The only one on that list I am interested in is Rift.
I'm going to look into Tera though it looks pretty intriguing.
SW:TOR, I just cannot get excited about for some reason.
DCUO, SoE---> no thanks. I don't like to say never, but there's a pretty good chance SoE will never see a penny from me again.
GW just doesn't interest me either. I played the first one and really couldn't get into it.
Einherjar_LC says: WTB the true successor to UO or Asheron's Call pst!
SInce SWTOR is looking more and more like WoW in Space, my vote is for Guild Wars 2.
RIFT
DCUo. but the only thing I'm really waiting for is Secret World.
TERA, I am excited for the action gameplay.

Guild Wars 2, all the way.
Although, I will likely try Rift and SWTOR, although TOR just looks dull to me, even though I am a Star Wars fan.
I'll probably try DCUO, too. Superhero games always have a special place in my heart.
Guild Wars 2 Without a doubt!
I don't have much claims about the other games.
TOR has some new things, but I think they are few and lack movement in combat (i'm more of a Jedi Academy combat). I think the fact that it has the name and lore of Star Wars gives too much atention to the game.

Well I piced KOTOR but its going to be 2011 before we get to play it.
TERA or GW2, took TERA forf the courage that was needed to give a targetless battle system ^^
I'll take SWTOR please. The only one for me.
TOR for sure.
Guild Wars 2 and World of Darkness are my current favorites...
