It did look nice. There was about 5 seconds I think of actual gameplay (not cut scenes) where I could see how the graphics had advanced since the summer. Everything does look very detailed as we have been hearing and I like the colors as well. Thanks for posting.
umm actually, all of that footage uses the in-game engine and plenty of that stuff comes from real game combat, i've had plenty of moments like that in the game myself....rest assured, the trailer is indicative of real game combat.
Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.
Looks better all the time, but I still wish they'd lose the oversized "Mad Max" shoulder pads. How ridiculous would Vader have looked with foot long spikes on his shoulders?

I personaly like it! Also the armor sets have different features or else everyone would look the same, and theres 4 body types so the size of the armor also changes.

Thanks Xamdorb. I thought I spied some sort of dark trooper in the video, but that was just wishful thinking.
I assume you mean the four Sith Troopers that the player character kills with the heavy cannon towards the end of the video. As far as I know they are just NPC's. I think that you will be able to get one as a companion on at least one of the Sith classes.
Playing: EVE Online Played (retired): Anarchy Online, Star Wars Galaxies, Age of Conan. Awaiting: Star Wars: The Old Republic, The Secret World.
After the Jedi story revelations distanced me from that class, trooper may be the better choice. Kicking some Sith ass *without* the Force may be even much cooler anyway.

This class will be a bitch to contend with. They have a counter move to that opening strike which knocks you down in mid air. It will be interesting to see how well a sith warrior matches up against one of these.

The spiky and huge shoulder pads are killing the fun. Guess you can't blame the pople who are calling TOR: WoW in space.

Ah, but those will be calling it 'WoW in space' no matter what, saying that it will be fully instanced, a singleplayer game with ultrasmall worlds and no pvp, without ever having taken the trouble of reading one shred of actual information about the game

Funny pic, btw
You are right, there are many people punching any MMO just for the pleasure of it. I consider myself pretty well informed on TOR and even I happen miss some important data from time to time.

Hell, I was gonna play Trooper anyways. Sweet vid though, thanks!

Holy hooters, Batman!
I hadn't expected an update today and certainly not a class video, but nice, thanks for the heads up, OP

Tomorrow the official website will be updated with the trooper info! According to SWTOR facebook.
So glad this was a trooper video. The class looks to be the most fun of the bunch.
What is the troopers counterpart on the sith side?
Bounty Hunter also tank/dps
It isn't an exact mirror, but the closest is the Bounty Hunter.
Thanks for the link OP!

Gosh I would marry Jennifer Hale.
Sweet awesome sauce OP, thanks for find.
Jennifer Hale *swoons*.
Why do all animations look like they're missing some frames? It's getting worrisome seeing that Bioware has barely improved them in the last year.
Pocket gatling laser ftw! lol
I agree with both points. There are points where the animations look super fluid, and some where they look like they just left out large chunks.

It's not in her pocket, it's on her back.
I can see the banter post-launch arise already:
"is that a gatling laser in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?"
"I only use big equipment"
