The video on youtube for the character creation gave a decent look at the different body choices AND there was only four of them that I saw.  Overall it looked pretty dang good, though some of the facial hair really looked pretty badly done to be honest.

    To the OP....

You know dude,no matter what i think of the game, you get a standing ovation for doing such a great job at providing important information.I am so used to seeing such rubbish posts that are just people talking nonsense, your psot deserves huge high fives lol.

again good job :D you get a 10/10 rating from me,and that is near impossible to get from me lol.

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

I have to be honest, I'm a little disappointed with the body and customization choices I have seen on other sites. I was hoping they would be a little more in depth. I realized it wouldn't be like Oblivion, but I'm hoping they double the amount of choices on the sliders. Regardless, they looked varied enough where it won't have the same problem as WOW and will offer more diversity than that game where 12M people didn't seem to care that much.

EDIT: After reading some opinions of what I saw, it looks as if my opinion may have been formed off of a much older build, so if that is the case I feel more relaxed now lol.

Yea, along with the 6 hour preview reviews that just took place to amend the outdated Gamescom sticky.

    - There will be instanced PvP zones. They are called Warzones!

    - These zones feature 8 vs 8 combat. They are testing and the values might change for bigger in the future.

This is just FAIL on so many levels that it's rediculous.   Lol.  And giving it an "!" at the end of the remark as though it's something important or remarkable does not make it so.

I take it then that you'll PvP in Rift or GW2?

Oh! I have a question: What kind of rewards/bragging rights would these Warzones give you?

Correctamundo.  Because there is no PvP is SW:TOR as already shown.

Edit:  And just need to interject my own reality-check. This is Bioware, a successful very heavy story-centric, pve, non-player centric and non-organic, lobby-system studio.

I shouldnt expect an organic player-centric entertainment outcome with this title.  I'm just bummed that with so much rich and deep dark vs light story history with this IP, that game-play mechanics aren't such where players, in a massively-multiplayer game, wont be afforded to play-out their parts against other players.  /expectations in-check

Everywhere I hear about the Warzones, and then when people ask about open world pvp...then people say "Oh, open world PVP is confirmed". LOL, ok well then why isn't open world PVP advertised as so because Warzones sure are.

Not buying it. Yes the game looks great, yes I will buy it and play it but please don't give me the same ol "open world pvp is confirmed" speel when not only is it obviously on the back burner in Bioware's plan but I'm not totally convinced they are putting it in.

Open World PVP is way more appealing to PVP'ers than "instanced battleground" pvp which is what Warzones are. People can't stand instanced PVP, why would Bioware advertise for that and not mention or advertise about open world pvp?

You'll also be able to PvP in SWTOR as well.  both instance (warzones) and open world, theres also going to be a PvP server, which acts like how they normally would.  Towns are usually safe but once you get outside your going to be atacked (safe as in guards will attack the hostile party)

Oh! I have a question: What kind of rewards/bragging rights would these Warzones give you?

PvP gear would be my guess for rewards for doing well in PvP

Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.

Is ToR going to be good? Dude it's Bioware making a freaking star wars game, all signs point to awesome. -G4tv MMo report.

I love when people make these blanket statements thinking they represent the PVP world. First off, one of the biggest complaints with Warhammer online (next to the original overpowered Bright Wizards) was that fact that the open realms were empty and everyone was spending all of their time in the instanced battlegrounds. If people hated instanced battlegrounds, that never would have been an issue. In fact, I loved those scenarios the first play through, but rolling an alt to do it all over again would have been painful. Eventually they changed the XP gain in the open realms and made them more enticing. That was fun too, but became just as repititive as the instanced scenarios. WOW's battlegrounds always seem like a big draw to me. I think people like variety, a combination of PVP, Open World, Warzones, etc. Bioware releases info based on how polished they are during the testing cycles. Try to have some patience before ranting.

If you start to use google to do some research you will find some interesting sites, that confirm open world PvP. And no, i'm not talking about fan sites. Now think a little.

THey will show everything in it's due time, learn patience.

Sorry, they already stated they would have PvP both instance (warzones) open in certain areas and a PvP server

Yes, it's an MMO, which takes the normal quest structure and gives a lot better presentation, with the ability for the player to shape how the story goes.

Whats to say the player can't be centric? crafting will require a lot of other players just like similar games in the theme park genre do.

Finally whats with the lobby-system thing? are you refering to this being a lobby based game? cause it's not. any game play video will show it's similar to normal wide open worlds.

It's fine to have your expecations in check, it's also good to have your facts in check to.  Might i suggest taking a further look.  Might be useful.

Ohh..no. Your right.  My ADD gets the best of me.  I took a deep breadth...I would have re-arranged the information in that PvP section so what I was looking for was on the top and followed by some !!!! also :)

According to testers, the game as a very high possibility of comming out in spring this year. So the will start revealing stuff in the next 3 months! And theres probably an open beta!

Some people are waiting for this game for two years now, so i think more 2 or 3 months till getting information isn't much. Also they probably planned this, because they will release all the goodies almost at the same time... raising the interest of people

Yeppers...Im really cool with it.  I should have known...with following so many soon-to-be-released games this year, and at my age, my mis-reaction is quicker than my mind at times.

I really am anticipating on how they flesh out the pvp beyond warzones.

  • whilanwhilan Member UncommonPosts: 3,472

They really need to flesh out everything.  I'm hoping now that we are in the suppose year of release that the marketing department gets in gear and shows us the good stuff.

Oh well, guess like everything we will have to wait until they show us it.
