So the rumor has become truth...
And look at that! A spring launch! Now, if SW:ToR isn't delayed we'll have an interesting competition between the two MMO's.
Whoot pre-ordered+6 monthed! Whoot whoot.
Drop the next-gen marketing and people will argue if the game itself has merit.
Very nice. I will pre-order this, but will not over-extend myself with a 6-month sub, nor will I consider that non-sensical CE
@Alot Not really.
I'd like to try out the Beta, but the game is still turning me off as far as pre-ordering it.
1) It doesn't appear like there's anything else to do besides those Rifts they've been focusing on in their videos (also read this from people confirming this who's played the beta)
2) The little bit of PvP I've seen in the videos give the impression that the combat is pretty stiff. They look like robots swing their weapons up and down in a real stiff manner. If anyone knows of a better video that shows a lot more PvP in order to get a better feel of it please post.
Pre-ordered with 3 month sub here. Been having a great time in beta
Compared to crap i have spent money on in past like FFXIV and Warhammer Online. This CE makes a lot of sense to me . Although i won't buy digital version of CE.
Who could have thought that WOW could bring super power like USA to its knees?

Im picking on WoW btw because its the beast that made all of this possible
March 1st 2012 i ll see if it s better. Better games will be out before then I m sure though.
That's March 1st 2011, not 2012.
Yay! Definitely subbing to this game! Granted I took something like a 2 year break from MMOs after WAR completely dropped the ball on the majority of us. I feel like Rift will be a great game to play while I wait for the likes of Gw2 to show up on store shelves. However, seeing as Gw2 is a B2P game, there is a chance that I may continue my sub with Rift. Overall, I'll happily admit that I'm very pleased with Trion and their efforts. Not only do they listen to community feedback, but they've established a very solid game. I look forward to seeing what more Rift has in store beyond the initial zones
Hoping this game turns out well. Good luck Trion.
There is a tonne of regular MMO kind of stuff to do - questing, crafting, instances etc and the character progression is a bit better than most aswell as rifts and invasions.
This weekends beta event sees the opening of warzones so we should see some PvP videos coming out soon.
....unless he wants to wait another year to see how the game improves
Long Live to Trion I just subbed myself to RIft for 6 months!
Their gameplay is Clever are very responsive from a pvper stand of view this is one of the most important aspect. The classes system is one of the best in line witht he old School Sandbox.
I realy cant wait. The Beta were so Perfect stable and polished that it will actually Become one of the highest rated MMOs for years to come im 100% sure.
It beats by far any other releases like Warhammer, Aion and all the WoW clones you could think of. This is the game Millions of people have been waiting for. Give it some time and the population will keep Growing instead of going Downhill Mark my words
Not impressed enough to buy, personally. Just doesn't stand out in my mind. I've got Cata to get through and my 30/50 on GW.. the beta just wasn't enough to tear me from the other games I'm playing at tthe moment.
are they charging for the pre-order right when you order or when it comes out
Havent seen anything worth the money or my time. Will wait for Tera and TOR.
what is swtors release date/month atm?
Well.. since the new APB will be releasing their beta around that time, I won't pre order it. Rift is a decent game, but it seems the combat mechanics got stuck around 2004.
And besides, i'd rather give DC Universe a chance around that time as well.
$ 59.99 / € 59.99 / £ 39.99
Didn't remember living inside European Union was so hard ^_^
They charge the preorder , so you pay now depending on the digital download you buy , companies like amazon or other store I think they charge you when its in the shop or garantee able to deliver minus holding rights .
(but again not sure about those shops)
But you dont have to pay the 6 month subscription or 3 month subscription offer yet , so you can still cancel after your free 30 day game time that comes with the standard box or download .
But you have to choose a option ahead of time though .
Not sure if if i am getting this or not yet, but dam 6mths @ 10.00 mth thats cheap.
The price include tax for the euro so its reasonable , yes our euro is stronger then the dollar , but anyway if you are paying 49.99 for the standard might as well go all the way for the CE 59.99 , since its RMT offer thats beneficial for leveling .
Anyway we shall see how they handle the euro to dollar conversion later on . but for now i guess they just want some well deserved investment money back , (deserved since they aint dumping a beta game on us , i really hope not :P )
But dont take stuff from me , ask people more enthousiastic about the game .
Since am fantasy overburned , and hope the Rift Community is a nice change or people for once .
Oh, lord....
I'm still debating on wether or not I should pre-order this game...I really LIKED it in beta and there are more beta phases on the way and I have been extremely impressed with how they've handled the game with updates during the beta process so far. It doesn't look like TERA is coming out until the end of the year which would mean it's competing with ToR and GW2 both of which I intend to play so maybe Rift will be a good game to play through the majority of 2011!
Valentina if you are already impressed then just buy it , you can´t go wrong .
The 3-6 months wont be charged anyway till after the 30 days game box time .
So example you use the head start at 24 th of febuari , you can still cancel on 23 march and not pay the 6 or 3 months .
Or in doubt just change to montly subscription , the prices are reasonable since they include RMT that speeds leveling .
Especially in CE edition , a mount and a bag is not something you want to miss for 10 additional dollars / euro .
It speeds game enjoyment a lot .
And if by anyway you are dissapointed with the endgame you can always cancel , but so far i paid for the product even if i dont like it , cause atleast one MMO that keeps there word in both support and delivery .
(even if there customer support is still a bit rudenmental , but atleast they choose the NCSOFT structure the old NCSOFT structure of human effort and interaction even if they panic a bit too quickly )
There Agreements shows a lot of improvisation , so while techinically there product looks fine and very playable if i am reading the last batch of beta gaming reports . seems they are improving fast and learning and adapting fast .
Anyway if you believe in them like I do , then just digitally download is more cash revenue for them to setup a beter support system or reinvestment .
