I’d like to see a real ranger class, something much closer to Aragorn than say hunter, champion or a captain.
They would be able to deal ranged damage, have some stealth and also be able to deal good damage with melee, unlike the hunter who is primarily ranged damage, or the captain and champion which have little to no ranged.
Also it could have the option to equip a one handed and shield and be a evasion tank. Or maybe be an evasion tank without the need of a shield.
I’ve wanted to play as Aragorn for a while now, but only certain aspects of classes in game now seem to feel like a ranger, not any one class.
I don't mean to sound big headed... But I know Voldemort.
Something like Blood mage from Vanguard. Class, whose heals efficiency dependant on amount of damage dealed.
Also some type of Psyonist again like in VG. Class, who not only can control mobs, but take their form and transform his soul into monster gaining new abilities
they need make wizzard class b.c. gandolf was one in the lord of the rings and its dumb tyhat we cant be wizzards but only rune keepers with magik roks in this stoopid pay 2 win gaim. and lore mastar? more liek BOAR master. who cairs bout lore? watch movies aqnd you get it all faster.
In all seriousness, I like King's idea. ^
The only issue would be how the horse would be added to you. Do you start with it? Or do you have to buy the horse yourself to be able to use certain skills? Or perhaps a "hero class" type of deal wher you start out at level 20 or 30 with a horse and what not.

Hmm.. Good notion. Maybe like a sub class for each class?
Hunters can be mounted archers, defenders jousters with a shield and pole. Magic users cast certain spells on the go. So on and so forth.
I just like mounted combat in games is all and I think LotRO has a great set up for it.

Well, again, players can't seem to separate "The Lord of the Rings" from "Dungeons and Dragons".
One doesn't have to wield that ugly word "lore" around to just note that "The Lord of the Rings" has its very own unique universe and that creating a game from it that everyone can enjoy is a difficult undertaking
Still, you are welcome to your opinion.
Like Skyrim? Need more content? Try my Skyrim mod "Godfred's Tomb."
I like all the classes they have already. In fact,I think adding the Warden and Runecaster was a bad idea. I'd like to see them expand the roles of current classes.
Have any of you knuckleheads even read "The Lord of the Ring"?
You won't see and type of "necromancer" class or "wizard" class nor really any true magic wielding class. As it stands now the Rune-Keepers break lore.
The only type of class I could possibly see Turbine adding are a Shape-shifting class a-la Beorn and his people or perhaps a true Ranger type. And I doubt they could add a mounted class like the Rohirrim from Rohan strictly from a coding sense. Mounted combat changes alot of the coding.
So bottom line is I don't see Turbine adding more classes.
I've always wanted to see a "swordmaster" type class. It would be a tank that dual-wields blades, with specialization in Parry and counter attacks. Can only dual-wield blades (swords, daggers), can't use shields.
Swordmaster would also wear heavy armor, and be able to use two-handed swords.
Please no more classes, please no more wardrobe additions, please no more vault additions, please no more starter area revamps!!!
PLEASE ADD CONTENT!!! MEANINGFUL CONTENT THAT TAKES US CLOSER TO MORDOR!!!
I guarantee at this rate Turbine's license will end soon after Rohan. I quit the game and haven't looked back because I'm tired of all the gimmicks Turbine has given us. Lothlorien was the last meaningful update we've had to the game mostly because mithril flakes were introduced at the same time and you can't craft 2nd aged weapons without them.
Mirkwood was a load of crap and I'm sorry, but Enedwaith was darn there disrespectful toward the longtime subscribers. Lets create an area in the world in which our player base can finish all quest lines in 2 days max, but we'll add repeatables which will force our player base to repeat the same 5 quests over and over for WEEKS if they want the kindred rep... and if they don't care about getting the rep, then screw them. They can go back to 21st hall and spam chat to run the same darn instances over and over.
I'm sorry, but with a 65 Loremaster, 65 Warden, 65 Captain, 65 Champ, 61 Hunter, 61 RK, 61 Burg, 56 Guard, and 36 Minstrel, the last thing I want to do is role a new class just to do the same darn quests again!
I still get emails everytime a kin event gets posted on the calendar because I never quit the kin... It seems the kin has gone back to running Rift raids every weekend. Its a shame when very active kins have to resort to going back to lvl 50 raids with their lvl 65 toons just to get the feel of doing something new.
Please no more side stuff like new classes. The game needs new content.

lol... Relax, patience is a virtue.
I've played this game from the start and I still don't have a character at level cap. Soooo...
Get out more and hang with your friends once and awhile.

I think that would fit into LOTRO nicely
The Champ does everything you "want". They can duel wield any one handed blade, and can dramatically add to their parry and evade rates (sudden defense). They wear heavy armor and are able to wield two handed swords. I only used two handed swords with my champ to get the massive crits from Remorseless Strike.

I'm an original beta tester... way back when Rivendell was the end of the map, and the auction hall was where the mayor's building is currently!
I really do not know how it's possible to have played this game from the start and not have at least 1 toon at cap (unless you didn't purchase any of the expansions). Once you're in your 30's and can do the skirmishes, Defense of the Prancing Pony gives you 3/4 of a level, and Trouble in Tuckborough gives you 1 full level at the very least. If you just did all the available skirms, you'll gain 2-3 levels easily! It stays like that pretty much until you hit lvl 40.
One of the great aspects of this game is the virtual no grind till you hit the cap. Lotro may be the easiest game to level in because of the tons of content in Eriador and Moria. I guess this is where my frustration stems from. Turbine has been great when it comes to their content... the best IMO. So for me it's very disheartening that they've pretty much stopped what they've been so good at to emphasize on crap.
If they do release more classes, they better step their game up because the warden even though is a juggernaut, is a class so many people don't want in their group. Lets create a tank but we won't give it any skills to instantly grab agro. Then when they do get agro, if they get stunned or disarmed, they'll lose whatever agro they did have and the fight will be over before they can get it back. Brilliant!!!

I hear what you're saying bro...
And believe me when I say, I've had this game from the start and have maintained a current (V.I.P.) sub even to this day.
I don't really do any of the skirms I just play at my own pace. I do however have plenty of alts, so maybe that's it. Or maybe I just move a lot between games.
But I do empathize with you're feelings and opinion of the game, especially if one (you) plays it often enough that the end game could/should be more robust for cap level players. And I do think Turbine could speed up their content process. So here's to hoping. And I hope you stick with it or find a game to suit your play style.
I'd want a class that isn't linear. The only classes that aren't linear in LOTRO right now is Lore-Master and Warden, and Warden becomes linear once the combinations are memorized.
I could certainly see some kind of mounted warrior Rohirrim class. Also perhaps an expansion of the Herbalist soldier into a full class. It could use poison damage and have dots and debuffs, but also could be a main healer. Or perhaps just add a new set of skills to LoreMasters and allow them to trait as main healers.
Important facts: 1. Free to Play games are poorly made. 2. Casuals are not all idiots, but idiots call themselves casuals. 3. Great solo and group content are not mutually exclusive, but they suffer when one is shoved into the mold of the other. The same is true of PvP and PvE. 4. Community is more important than you think.

None , game fine the way it is class wise .

And a real ranger class? There were only a few hundred rangers... though that doesn't stop Turbine from killing the lore
