    Sober opinion:

It costs five largers to give the game a go for a month. Try it out and see for yourself. Oh and you will save your liver being abused by five largers. :)

I like the fact that you found your game but I think "beying happy" is quite a bit far... no game is eternal... or anything material (fridges, tv's, cars, etc).

Don't love a game... or a fridge for that matter. Enjoy is the word. Remember that a game is supost to be a hobby.... love is for people or religion (if you have one).

I have yet to see someone actualy point to some major flaw in Rift. Becouse i realy dont care if someone finds boring something i like. Yes i dismis these opinions as totaly invalid,  if something is boring or not is pure subjective thing, not flaw in the game. I find many games that are played by milions boring and I dont go to their forums trolling about how boring they are.

I don't think any one is really claiming Rift is flawed. Just that it isn't really new. I'm glad a developer actually released a polished working MMO, I'll be even happier when a developer does it with new and fresh ideas. Either way competition in the genre is a good thing, hope things go well for Trion and Rift players.

This is what haters do. They can not find huge flaws like you obviously could in WAR or Aion, so they go after the small things and treat it like the end of the world with broad statement like "my account got hack, so all 1 million people got hacked too" or "the game is boring for me so it must be boring for you"

i don't see what's wrong with "more of the same", Rift is a nice step forward from WoW, it's time to leave Blizzard and their expansions that take a week tops to complete then are just repetitive instance grinds.

Again, It's only my opinion. If you can't handle a different viewpoint, maybe you shouldn't be on a discussion forum in the first place.

stop acting like you got flamed. i posted a counter-opinion. if you can't handle people 'replying' to you, maybe you shouldn't be on a discussion forum in the first place.

Did I imply anywhere that I felt I was being flamed? Nope. It just confuses me that some of you feel so offended by a differing opinion that you think you need to "defend" your own. I didn't dispute your opinion, I just don't agree with it. If you feel the need to look at it in a deeper context than that, it's not my problem.

Edit: Also, to be clear, the quote that you posted from me wasn't even directed at you, but more towards the people that seem to take differing opinions personally.

you claimed that 'so many people' are claiming it as a revolutionary game, which is simply not true. that is not an opinion, but an 'observation' and an inaccurate one.  my post clearly focused on that topic, which also did not supply an 'opinion' but an observation.

i am not affected by the opinions here, and only posted to express my 'observation', as opposed to your 'observation' which i find untrue. the only people calling this game 'revolutionary' are trolls that are (sucessfully) trying to get a response from people like you.

i really have no problem with you and if you like/hate the game, who cares? but understand that people are playing it because they like it (have fun), not because it is 'revolutinary'. to suggest that, is sad and hilarious all at the same time.

but what am i saying? go ahead and keep posting on threads about games that you don't like, because it's such a 'hip' thing to do around here. i will never understand the point of focusing on things i don't enjoy, and feel VERY sorry for anyone who does. you had no constructive opinion to offer, so don't come off like you did.  you accused 'crap', pointed a finger, and spouted off at the mouth. if that is the extent of your opinion, then i am afraid i have already wasted far too much time 'focusing' on you.  guess i'm the hypocrite now, aren't i? and i'm thankful that i have the insight to recognize my own folly.

I gotta agree with the OP.

For me, I think my favorite part of this game is it's fun and unique Rogue class.

I love Rogue-type classes, and I enjoyed my rogue in WoW, but it's nice to have a change of pace from "go stealth, sap/stun the target, jump and run around the target while using basic attacks that build up combo points (which are displayed as "balls" around the enemies' face/nameplate), and then unleash finishing moves that become more powerful with more combo points." It was cool and pretty unique when WoW came out, but it's kind of gotten old after all these years of WoW and WAR (which had stealth classes that basically played the same) and I am enjoying the change of pace.

Here's a video of a Rift Rogue in action, if anyone wants to see what I'm talking about:

Personally im enjoying Fallen Earth right now.

Im surprised because some of what i was reading and what id seen made me put it off before finally trying it.

Only about 3 hours into it but i have enjoyed it right from the start so its a good sign.

    Glad you like Rift.
