When I tried it, the graphics were fine. The image was definitely was not blurry/fuzzy or whatever. Performance was also great. The only thing which left more to be desired were the animations. They were stiff -_-

I have gtx 460 sli overclocked i run at about 40-60 on ultra and whene u play its choppy i mean even if its 40-60 fps it looks like 20-25 fps so yeah its so bad
I play on an older intel dual core (one of the first to come out) And with a crappy Nvidia 9500 GT card and the game looks and plays amazing. I don't know what you guys have been smoking but my advise to you would be to change your dope dealer
I have 4gb ddr3 ram..I7-920 2.6 ghz and GTX 275 and run it fairly smooth on mostly high settings including shadows and all. FPS is usually 35-55..even in most Rift Raids. The lowest it dropped was 17fps for some of the event rifts going on right now...with ALOT of players on screen. Got pretty choppy at times but ...about 97% of the time it was smooth. Game looks great imo.
I have a ati 4890 hd and the game is almost on max settings running 1680-1050 and runs great. While I admit the game still needs some optimization I think in this case its a issue with the OPs system and no so much with the game. (imho)
Rift ACCTUALY has some of the BEST client performance at launch that ive seen in the last 5 years from a new MMO, if you are having issues, its YOUR pc not the game.

I play on a 40'' lcd with a 570 and don't have any of those problems could be a bad card.
I have seen some issues with the graphics proformance in stillmore on my 570 but thats about it. From what I've seen its the the drivers and sli profile thats bad. The drivers will get better for these cards and rifts performance will get better as it gets more updates.
Try with one card and see what it does. I did drop mine to high for now just because of the odd shuttering in stillmore and I want at least 30 FPS in rift raids. So good luck with the graphic problem.
Again a thread about Rift's bad fps in which people claim to run it perfectly fluid on their 3-4yr old machines without stating their video resolution.
I can as well post all day about my 65fps on a HD3850....@ 1024x768.
So again: your statement means NOTHING without posting you video resolution before you claim that the game never drops below say 25fps. I said it some time ago: This is like a friend of mine who was bragging about WoW running "all maxed out incl. shadows never below 60fps in crowded Dalaran!!" on his Hd4850 mobilty - when i visited him he played in beyond blurry, non native 1280x960 on his 17" because "well...otherwise it's choppy".
And then as usual the folks comparing PAL/NTSC-TV to a video game's engine, hence stating that "one's eye can't tell the difference above 25fps". Guys, GET A CLUE and educate yourself before shouting this same crap allover every fps-discussion.

Its good, i would put it in the upper tear. But not best. Aion Blows it away, DCUO blows it away.

lol nice try. Aion has good graphics but Rifts smoke them on max settings. The textures alone are some of the best I've ever seen.
Just stick DCUO back in the trash can. The graphics were ok but not even worth talking about.

Aion blows it away? I laugh at that, FFXIV blows it away, DCUO is equivalent in graphics to Rift. I was not impressed with the graphics in DCUO at all.... I like the art better in Rift, but the world design seems poorly planned.
Have it in ultra with all effects turned up to max.
with my old pc it was 17fps and down to 4fps in rift raids.
My new pc was around 60fps with no dip on ultra.
then I hit this turbo button on my motherboard and now am at between 80 and 95fps all the time.
Thanks, at least some comprehensive information. "new pc" and "turbo button" is all it takes then.
Why pick this post then? Why not a post with more information? Are you doing this to make yourself look better? You're like that kid who picks the worst player for their team just so they look better. Fail troll is fail.
Old setup, granted. Though, I need to run Rift with the minimum graphics settings in any place where there is more than 10 players on the same spot. e.g Warfront or Riftraid. If I'm playing alone in the open I can have the settings at low/med without hurting to much.
To compare, I've just played TERA this weekend. Which is 10 times more graphically advanced than Rift, and it floats like a charm on medium to high settings for me. Looking 10 times better while at it as well.
Consensus: Rift performs poorly.
(Disclaimer: I'm not comparing the two games at all, just their graphics and their performances)
thats funny, I have a amd dual core with 4 gigs of ram, and an nvidia 9800, game runs fine for me, i run it on high and only hasve to turn it down for being in main cities.
My pc plays most games with a bit of tweaking but I've found Rift is the first game its truely struggled with but having said that theres nothing wrong with the way the graphics look or perform on better pcs than mine . It may just be a matter of the op weighing up whether its worth him updating his rig for this game or not . Mines due for an update (which in my case will mean buying a new pc because the newer cards wont physically fit into my pc ) but it as it plays most games pretty decently I'm just gonna grin an bair it with RIFT and maybe buy a new rig later in the year or maybe next year .

exactly
I play RIFT on the highest graphic settings and have no problems at all. The graphics are beautiful.
btw,
my card is an NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 465
And I have 8 gigs of RAM.

The OP is clearly trolling. In the open beta, I played the game on my suboptimal laptop, and was shocked at how well the game performed and looked.

Its good enough with some fine art work and boring world design and placement.

Rift has the best performance I have seen in a looooonggg time. I can run it fully maxed out with a 5770 6 gigs of ram and a phenom x4 965 at 3.4 ghz.
I have none of there issues playing on an summer 2010 iMac 27 @ 2560x1440 with a shity mobility card. I'm guessing it's something with the PC config.

This is my, very outdated, setup:
CPU: Intel Core2 Quad CPU Q6700
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250
RAM: 8GB
MBD: Asus P5K-E
