3 more days of Double XP and Double Drops ... Also we getting GM buffs and Vitality replenish which is like Rest XP for those familiar with it. 300% more xp then 200% then 150% then back to normal but you get that + the double XP. Result ... so far i went from level 56 now im 70 and there are still 3 days left lol so i will be 76+ once the week is over.

From B grade to S grade in 1 week

3 weeks old player here and im level 70 AND im leveling 2 chars at the same time.   Shillen Elder + a Necro i have 2 computers and play them simultaneously.

after this week is over ill take a couple days off to sleep good and go back to the gym lol

I enjoy Lineage 2 on *cough * servers. but they're hard to find friends on now days. And I'd never pay a monthly fee for it. But overall its an okay game. A great game compared to most of the mmos out there because the genre is crap now.

In the entire 7 years of it's exsistence i have never Not seen LIneage II in the #1 to #3 at the lowest position of most downloaded clients on Fileplanet. Literally it is usually the most downloaded client  for 7 years straight. That has always tripped me out. I can't believe how long ago it's been, i was in the beta for that game.

It was a fun game i did enjoy it somewhat, every once in a while i would feel like going back and checking it out again and have went back and played it again over the years. The main thing i didn't care for with it was the gear and how that was all set up. The tiers and very boring stats and such. I understand due to the pvp aspect of it's game model, but it just left a bland feeling. Still great game and ambience, one of the best mmo's and still going strong 7 years can't be denied.

Gratz, now you are entering the Real part of LIneage 2. That is till Goddess Of Destruction comes out.

Make sure you clicked on the tablet near the angels before killing them. I made the same mistake.

Dont worry i did go through every possibilities. Unfortunately my quest seems buged sicne i died the first time i tried to kill angels. After getting rezed quest worked for my necro in like 10 kills but for the SE after 2 hours of killing non stop it didnt work... and i found it pretty stupid that the SE Had to give the final blow to the monster in order to get the quest working according to a website that helps me with the quest. Considering the game isnt puting a pin on the map or give any advice that would lead me to those angels... so basicaly i am no impressed with this poor quest design... i am not asking for the game to hold my hand but at least i would need some directions. After 2 hours and didnt get the credit for it Anybody with common sense would think ( hey these might not be the mobs i need to kill ) and if it is Bad luck with Random drop i mean ... Fk this im out lol

You only get the item when YOU kill all the quest mobs there. There's a basic group there and when you kill the last one of them you get the item. So you never had to wait for respawns etc. Its not a luck item. And yea the game doesn't tell you if its a solo Q or a group Q.

I remember back in the day the map gave you no help at all for quest. There was no pointer over your head and the npcs did not even have the quest icons above there head. Such good times back then.

Having said that, I remember when I tried warhammer and someone invited me to a guild. they just pm'ed me and asked if I wanted to join. I told him "well, I am looking for a guild with like minded people and want to take time to get to know the guilds out there".

His response? "it's not a life changing decision, it's joining a freakin' guild".

And that's the thing, in Lineage 2 being part of a guild means something. It sure as heck trumps most games out there that offer guilds that won't stay together long enough to do much of anything.

    {author edit: I will not have time to play a game before Christmas due to work and dating commitments. Damn. Lookiing like early 2012 before I can decide}

    This.

Sovarth's anecdote, as well as a thread on FFXI forum, is IMO all that is wrong with the MMO genre today. I understand the need for more solo content and casual friendly playing-styles. Yet there is a real danger that the genre is moving away from forming relationships with others towards looser social contact where other players are little more than backdrop or provide an essentially 'talker' function.

This might seem odd position to take given that I intend to play SWTOR. However, principal interest I have in the genre is playing with other people and experiencing a whole spectrum of relationships from a casual conversation with someone as we pass through a zone (how often does that happen these days with fast travel in most games? Or even acknowledging someone else exists) to deep, meaningful interactions that give rise to complex emotional drama (metagame).

I thought about trying L2 many yeas back but the time commitment always stopped me. My time is still as constrained as ever - professional qualifications, full-time work, Chinese and dating - but I still have an interest in the genre, especially if a game still has the capacity for the human drama i.e. rivalries, heroism, villainy, team-work, competition, et al.

Once my I have more time towards end of October, I'll look into L2 and see if I can give it a meaningful go on the Euro server.

My playing times may be casual but I'm neve casual in my gameplay or attitude.

    Cheers!

Why would you pay for this game is beyond me, you can have a better experience for free of this game. With more options pve and pvp wise, and even for your character options, and probably a better support too. No really, its like Uo, they are better if played for free, and not because you pay nothing but because the games are way better handled and developed by amateurs these last 5/10 years than it is by the pros. That's sad but the whole true.
