Wonder how much bank space you'll get. Some like to collect sets just for the look. Or wonder how odd it will be to have one set mesh mashed with another. Time will tell. Mostly what we've seen is people in the full set armor pieces.
Actual structure wise I don't know about the meshing, but as for colors they did say they have some kind of color matching system so you don't have red pants, blue shirt, green boots and purple helm. Though if you wanted to you could still have that as the button is optional to click.
Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.

Oh so they are allowing us to color our own armor sets then? Like GW2? Like most of the pieces we've seen have been for sets. Usually in videos if they mouse over it you see like 5/5 of the suit and the rest greyed out. Only reason im asking as your leveling up you get one fancy new piece to a new set like a BP and then it doesn't mesh or match the rest of your outfit until you get the other pieces.

the tor color matching system is based off the color of the chest piece you are wearing. so if the chest piece is red it will make the rest of pieces match that color. so its not allowing the choice of any color, its based solely on the color of the chest piece.

Well not exactly. the color match works off your chest piece. So if you have a brown chest piece and you hit the color match option then the other pieces will turn that same color. Wether that holds when you take the chest piece off or not i don't know.

But wth? Hopefully he is camping lowbie spawns, because if that is level appropriate content... *sigh*
The videos we've seen they are a good bit longer then that. You don't simply one shot even level things in this game. Not even other players. So he is either a very much higher level where he can one shot things. Or they are cutting out the middle for dramtic effect. Actual gameplay shows fights of a even level taking longer then that.

It's the orange part in many cases throughout the vid I expect.

Well at the end with that big mech thing, he really just fired a couple rockets off and it died. I don't think we'll be seeing that in the live game. I would imagine it would be closer to the other way around.
First off, thanks for providing both links. I will never understand for the life of me why Bioware which excels in quality feels a need to advertise sub par video quality on their site while others will post on youtube at up to 720P or 1080P and get rid of the flash already so your not alienating the entire iphone/ipad community lol.
The video looked really good. Yes, I noticed the animations seemed to have taken another step forward. I also noticed the grass and how it was swaying because that was one of my complaints at PAX West that the flashpoint had grass that looked very uninspiring. This was MUCH better.
The environments looked detailed. I will be playing this class for sure. I see myself playing 2 or 3 classes on the Sith side and 5 or 6 classes on the Republic Side if they limit to 8 per account.
I noticed those insect creatures right before they attacked stopped for a second in a threatening stance, then the bounty hunter used his ability, then one ran off. I'm wondering if that is improved AI we didn't see at E3 or just a scripted moment specific to the video that we wouldn't see in game.
All in all, things are looking fantastic and being MMO homeless right now, I just can't wait for my new home. :-)

lol that reminds of when at pax east, daniel erickson was talking about world bosses and he mentioned the rancor you see in the fate of galaxy trailer. a BH and agent are facing off against it and he said "yea, they're dead"

well not sure how many people are aware of this, but its possible to download better versions from their site by clicking the down facing arrow on the video. but i agree it would be nice if their streams were better quality.

lol ok well i personally think that was a scripted movenment like you said for more of a cinematic effect. not sure if mobs would actually surround someone like that in the open world without attacking although I have heard of mobs running away to get reinforcements from gameplay impressions from people. however i could see something like that more in a instance, like when georg mentioned triggering some alarm or something and causing enemies come looking for you. well now that i think about it a bit more you could be possible in the open world, but still think the ant people was scripted.
personally what interested me the most was mandolorian arena thing
What i love the most, that is so apparent in this game. No over the top effects, that so many other games incorporate. Everything is what it is supposed to be in a SW game. For me, i can't stand when you have so much going on in a situation, you lose focus on the fight.

I agree, sort of like the dynamic events in Rift and potentiall GW2 where there is so much going on the screen with effects with so many people I can't even figure out what to target lol.
Graphics are starting to look very good, nearing the quality of the best screenshot pictures I've seen before. Subtle effects that are added look good too, as well as the texture detail in the armor. Animations as well, a clear and visible improvement with earlier videos.
If only the character proportions weren't so oversized in some cases (male chestsize), it'd be perfect. That's the last part of which I say, hmm, a bit 'cartoony stylised'.
If that were somewhat more normal sized, there'd be nothing that would be below par or below good in the graphics, even in the character graphics. The environment graphics (eg Coruscant) I already found among the top of the MMO genre.

I don't agree with the proportions comment. I think they look fine. I think as someone who regularly hits the gym, I appreciate them! lol

here is an example of some of the gear walls they have. each card is a different set and those aren't the only ones:
you can also get a glimpse of them in the designing the dark side and light side videos
Dagnabbit. I think the merc sounds better and the powertech looks cooler. Now I don't know what to do!
the tor color matching system is based off the color of the chest piece you are wearing. so if the chest piece is red it will make the rest of pieces match that color. so its not allowing the choice of any color, its based solely on the color of the chest piece.

I have read this entire thread and only one negative post.
What's going on?!?!
As for the video. FREAKING A! That looked amazing. The animations were 10x better then what I have seen before.
All the GW fans are busy moping up the mess Weasel caused over there? I kid, I kid, I kid.

The vid is entirely scripted no? That's not AI that's coding choreography. Anyway looks good graphics wise love the armour sets.
