So, basically same tactics they did with Dragon Age II?

Set ridiculously high pre-order prices and hope that production costs pay up with preorders alone despite the questionable quality and content of the game?

Even without counting the fact that I have no interest at all in World of Republicraft, EVEN if I had interest, I am sorry, but after Dragon age2 I will never ever pre-order anything from Bioware ever again.

I ordered that too, that'll sting but it's the new PC I'm going to need that'll hurt!

  • Pre-Ordered CE from Gamestop!!! After I was anticipating $220 for CE, $150 didn't seem all that bad! OMG Can't wait.

  • zeroToninzeroTonin Member Posts: 18

Preordered this morning, got the key and registered it on swtor, and now the waiting game continues ;)

  • mCalvertmCalvert Member CommonPosts: 1,283

I preordered, but Im not happy about it. Client is too expensive, charged extra to preorder, and no discount for digital download. And Sont didnt even by me dinner before it reamed me.

I preordered this morning. I was going to get the 150 ce but decided right before clicking accept that it was just too much money for a video game. The chachkis just don't justify the costs.

Yeah kinda like playing Russian Roulette but with 2 or 3 bullets in the chamber instead of one.  However if you are a collector of all things star wars I can see pre-ordering the CE for the stuff.  But since I'm just in it for the game I'll play it safe and give it a month or so to see how it pans out.

Help me Bioware, you're my only hope.

Is ToR going to be good? Dude it's Bioware making a freaking star wars game, all signs point to awesome. -G4tv MMo report.

I do plan on playing this game sometime after it comes out, but I will not preorder or even pick it up till after its been out for a few months.

I'd pre-order if i knew the launch date, not going to do it until it's known.

Nothing against Bioware, but given the state of things, I just can't see the value or advantage of pre-ordering any game these days.  No, I don't even care if I'm in at launch anymore.

Yes, I've become that jaded. :)

It's.... 80 dollars for the digital version? Are you fu**ing serious?

I went with the CE from Amazon.  Whether I like the game or don't like the game.  Time will tell after it's released.

    In War - Victory.
    In Peace - Vigilance.
    In Death - Sacrifice.

Same here, I wont pay full blown retail on a pre-order or a game just released.  I dont see how so many still do that for games, especially in the US, where the economy is in the crapper and so many other things have taken a nose dive.

Hell yes! I went with the Digital Deluxe Edition. I wanted to get a CE but just could not spend that much =/

I would say reports from the closed beta are good, which is a big difference from the flops.

You all are rediculous for preordering with no release date.

I could see Bioware coming out and saying that release will be Summer 2012, and you all will have to set on that

    preorder for a long time.

I love that "Early Access" they throw in there to, what early access 3 days before servers go live.  I think there is a lot of open

ended information on that Bioware preorder page that doesn't settle right.  I feel to the hype when SWG was launched and

purchased the collectors for that, never again.

Some of you forum users need help its almost like your addicted to a substance the way you all act.

Early Access 3 days for regular edition and 6 days for the Collectors Edition.

I just pre-ordered the CE as well.

For those of you who are going to wait until a release date is known, I'm not sure why $5 (or $20) of your money spent now versus in a few weeks/months is any different.  But by waiting, I was afraid by the time I know the announcement date, the pre-orders may be over / sold out.

    IT'S A TRAP !

    No release date, no pre-order.
