Smuggler because they're just so damn cool. And then probably a Trooper as usually I hate tanking but maybe in SWTOR it will be a little different from the usual low dps meatshield. I'm going to avoid lightsabres to start with as I think everyone and their dog will have a jedi.
On the dark side, definitely an Agent first, then perhaps a Sith Warrior to channel my hatred.
Smuggler, then Jedi Consular. My main character is all thought out as a Smuggler, but I'm a sucker for a Jedi story so I can't wait to play that path in game!
Bounty Hunter.. I have not decided which AC for sure but lean towards Merc.
One of the scenes that always grabbed me whatever reason... was watching The Empire Strikes Back when Vader was talking to the Bounty Hunters. I dunno why it grabbed me but it did... and in that other game I played a Bounty Hunter from day 1 as well.
As a kid, seeing the very first Star Wars movie, I wanted to be a Jedi Knight.
Didn't want to be Han Solo at all, not Darth Vader, not Uncle Owen, not Boba Fett.
Just a Jedi Knight.

So Consular Tank for me, then a Smuggler alt. If I get into the beta weekends, I will go Agent for the James Bond type story. But I am a freedom fighter at heart, so Republic for me.
How many people long for that "past, simpler, and better world," I wonder, without ever recognizing the truth that perhaps it was they who were simpler and better, and not the world about them? R.A.Salvatore
Depends what the person who I'm playing with will choose first. If they choose an Imperial class, I'll probably go either Sith Warrior or Imperial Agent.
If they'll go Republic, I'll probably go Smuggler or Jedi Knight.
I'm going Sith Inquisitor first since it's a class, I think, where I'll be having the most fun... The second char I roll will probably be bounty hunter/smuggler or jedi knight - haven't decided yet... But I'll try them all when I start to understand the game mechanics ofcourse

Definitely going Agent. With all the red lightsabers running around I'll be able to snipe from the shadows.
