Sith Assassin as main, then definitly guna have my alt be BH-Mercenary, then i would like to try the Jedi Knight, but of course ill try them eventually all out.
I have always wanted to play an agent, but my guild are going light-side, so I guess my agent'll be an alt on a different server.
For guild play I'll probably go smuggler...and if the cover system is something I dont enjoy, I'll go trooper. Is it really nerdy to say I'm going female trooper for Jennifer Hale's VO?
Fun Thread ! Going with Smuggler first but as I have altitis a Jedi of some sort ( haven't decided yet) will come in soon. Think I will run Smuggler to about 20 and then the Jedi the same. After that comes my first Imperial which will probably be the Bounty Hunter. Will probably create a Trooper for play variety (mood I happen to be in) and one of the other Imperials although don't know which. Sith classes haven't caught my imagination yet but frankly, I almost certainly will have at least one of each over time.
Also will look carefully for a guild that is not full of high level 'officers' interested only in raids, PvP, dungeons etc. In fact I enjoy helping my guildmates with those but would prefer mates who like to group for regular missions. So, Smuggler then Jedi then Bounty Hunter unless some more info comes out. This is fun.
I think I have finally settled on a Consular. I LOVE playing a healer type and a "kid growing up wanting to be a doctor, but turns out force sensitive" idea has been percolating in my head for some time now.

Just checked back to watch the poll results. Wow! If Bioware devs keep a side glance at the polls these results must be bringing a smile to their faces. A virtual flat distribution of player preferences over the whole range of character classes. Bodes well for population variety and stability for servers, As a pre order I am pleased myself and eagerly look forward to this game.

I believe people are staying away from jedi at first because we all assume everyone is gonna be one so play something else at first than make a jedi as your alt I plan to play them all.

I'm a major healer fan so i'll be playing Jedi Consular.
I'm wondering though Sith Inquisitors support side wont be healing will it? It will be like a warlock character right?
So empire wont get healers?
empire healers and which of the skill trees is for healing:
inquisitor sorcerer AC - Corruption tree
bounty hunter mercenary AC - Bodyguard tree
imperial agent operative AC - Medic tree

edit: from what we currently know only consular and inquisitor get in combat revives(every class has out of combat revive)
and the republic classes with healing trees are:
consular sage
smuggler scoundrel
trooper commando
The Mercenary, the Sorcerer and the Operative will be able to heal.
