Final premature Race poll.

It just hit me that the thread title is more than a little pre-mature, no matter how much information we have right now.

Such polls usually don't start to take focus until a couple weeks before release and even then, a final, final poll just two or three days before release usually reflects some shifts that translate into game day reality.

If I had to guess, I would think that Sylvari will level out a little once the novelty and newness wears off a bit. As we get a better idea how Norn animal forms play in the game, popularity might pick up there a bit. I also have a wierd feeling that Charr will be a little more popular on release than what the polls show now. Even Asura may gain some appeal as information on their technology and their starting area become more available.

Even the reveal of the full customization options for each race could have a notable effect on race choice.

It's not worthless to have these discussions this far out, but it's just a snapshot of sentiment that will definitely change.

Edit: Not to mention that the closer we get to release, the more broad the range of people taking interest in the game will become. Launch day community is often very different than the community that actively discusses a game months before release. :)

Polls are polls.  They're not final verdicts.  I'm sure the results will be different on other sites, and like the poster above stated, will vary as release comes closer and even after launch.  Regardless, there will be so many people trying so many different races and classes within the first month, no one will be able to keep up with who chose what first.  You might change your mind after you see another race's lore or racial abilities in action.  My money is still on Norn for the time being however, especially after getting a look at the brilliant character customization.  The women are beautiful and buxom and the men are full of personality in each facial choice.  Go Team Norn!
