full loot pvp?bring it on!full death penalty bring it on!after 3 death permadeath?bring that also! that being said all of those should always be on a pro server, with wanring before they start playing and yes those server should have the max gear avail in game some will whine!ok go farm gear in there. this way by having a dedicated server to hardcore player no more various silly issue because one player want this but the other doesnt want it etc.
What is that one, annoying, thing that completely turns you away from a game. It would be nice if you give a list of games that you would be playing if not for the "game killer"...
Faction grinding, quest grinding, pretty much anything that feels repetitive and grinding.
Oh I also hate walls of text and clicking through tons of text just to get a quest..oh and also killing multiple animals just to get another quest to go kill them again.
Dumbing down stats/content (looking at you EQ2!) and just having things be way too easy.
Mindless button mashing and having a million skills (I had 12 hotbars nearly filled with skills and macroes in EQ2 when I left). Just give me 8-10 skills and I'm a happy camper. Also gives more of a challenge finding a good balance for different situations. I love a good challenge.
-Items +1, +2, etc. and possibility for item break down when upgrading. I can't stand the idea that for Sword +10 I'd need to grind 1 000 Swords.
-Inability to remap keys. If it's a small non-MMO lasting only a couple of hours it doesn't matter so much, but if I'm going to spend 100 hours playing a game I want to decide what keys to use while playing. I quit GW 1 after a few hours playing because I couldn't use key combinations like ctrl + E, shift + E, shift + ctrl + E, etc.
-Idiots. They are in all MMOs, but sometimes I get so frustrated I have to quit and can't return to game for a couple of days.
Comments
Full loot PVP, feel like throwing up everytime i read this in feature list of Sandbox MMOS.
Bad communities, which is pretty much *ALL* of them.
Bad gameplay, boring, ridiculous repetitive grinding.
No jumping.
Racing to end-game.
Pretty much, that kills almost all games for me.
Played: UO, EQ, WoW, DDO, SWG, AO, CoH, EvE, TR, AoC, GW, GA, Aion, Allods, lots more
Relatively Recently (Re)Played: HL2 (all), Halo (PC, all), Batman:AA; AC, ME, BS, DA, FO3, DS, Doom (all), LFD1&2, KOTOR, Portal 1&2, Blink, Elder Scrolls (all), lots more

excessive redundent/useless traveling

That's pretty much it, I think.
Do you want some cheese with that whine?
Invisible walls annoy the hell out of me.
Cash shops / item malls... anything to do with sanctioned RMT really.
I simply can't enjoy an MMO with RMT. The existence of RMT just kills the spirit of the game for me.
I am glad I do not need to play EQ1 any more. I am glad there are better options for me among MMOs.
By the way, a ghost version of EQ is still available from SoE, so you have to choose between your love for Eq and your hatred for SoE.
And back to topic, these are what bothers me most for a game:
1. F2P with Cash shops + gameplay that tortures the non-payers, I prefer a sub
2. FFA PvP, loot or no loot matters not. If I choose to PvP, I understand the consequence and will lose my loot if that is so.
3. Poor interface, I know enough about UI design to hate stupid UIs
4. Poor game design, this is subjective.
5. Connection issues, server stability, serious bugs, bad patchers. Come on, these are basic services of an MMO.
6. Meaningless grind. Unnecessary time sinks.
7. Unnecessary death penalty that discourage exploration.

Currently Playing: Hellgate Global, LoL, Skyrim, Morrowind
Recently Played: Cardmon Hero, Cabal, Oblivion
Lots to loot and carry + tiny inventory
Limited-to-no character customization
Anime or cartoony graphics, can't get immersed in the game with all the big hair and lolis running around.
Lack of meaningful pvp,
Lack of Story telling or immersion,
Hamster Wheel of daily quests and gear races,
Horrible negative communities, hate breeding hate, complaining upon whining.
