I have yet to be disappointed by Blizzard so,  yes I will buy D3 when it launches.

I'll never buy a game i can download and play for free.If that will be the case with D3, i will get it off of some torrent if not,i won't give a damn about it at all(Real money auction sucks).

Yeah, well since you cant afford the game, obviously the RMT would suck pretty bad...

P.S. I am no programmer or anything but since you will have to have an active internet connection to play at all, I dont think it will work pirated.

i don`t  like this game but its not mean i hate it , this game is ok but not too good .

  • gogogogonegogogogone Member Posts: 40

Load up your diablo 2.  Every 10 seconds you get walls of ads from gold farmers.  That was when gold farming was illegal.  Now that it's legal, I fully expect teams of bots to spam my screen so fast I'll need a new pair of glasses.  I wish the company would cover the game rather than the gimics that it'll take to float it.  Ok you got the Koreans on board, great.  Ok, you got the chinese on board, great.  What about the actual game????

  • zethcarnzethcarn Member UncommonPosts: 1,558

I don't understand any of the hate for the RMAH.

    1.  It's completly optional

    2.  Everyone assumes you won't be able to buy good items with gold anymore.  False.  Gold itself can be sold on the RMAH,  which suggests it will be quite valuable.

    3.  It's being implemented because of basic supply & demand.  Players WILL spend real money on D3 items whether it's through the RMAH or some shady website that doesn't care about ripping you off.

    4.  You can make money off it.   You can't except to get rich off of it but still...what's bad about making money?

    5.  D3 is not an MMO..people aren't really competing with each other...just playing co-op in their own small circle of friends.  If PvP is your agrument.....Blizzard has stated the game's classes are not even going to balanced for PvP.

  • RelytDnegelRelytDnegel Member UncommonPosts: 261

Ill be buying it mainly because i liked the other games in the series and because im interested to see how it all works out with the RMAH and all. Going to be there to experience it first hand :D

Hate  everything about it (this is coming from someone who played D2 like crazy)

    1. no customization despite gear and runes - which is based of $ and luck.

    2. no talent trees - dumb down much?

    3. no death penalty

    4. no offline mode

    5. RMAH

    6. weeding out the former playerbase just to include their new braindead audience (you cant use the diablo community site if you aren't subed to SC II or WoW).

    7. cartoony graphics, wheres the gothic feeling?!

    8. no lan

    9. more expensive but with less features than Diablo II

    10.  the real Diablo team is almost completly gone

We need a MMORPG Cataclysm asap, finish the dark age of MMORPGS now!

    Care to explain that one?

    2. no talent trees - dumb down much?

Although there are no SKILL trees,  you can only use a limited number of them at a time.  Plus you must decide which runes to put into them (5 different runes cause each skill to do 5 different things)..allowing for a vast amount of customization.

    3. no death penalty

You prefer running back to your corpse naked?  While amusing the first few times there's nothing fun about.  Remember you must be on online 100% of the time so lag spike can get you killed.  Also, dying in front of your friends and having a finishing move (head bitten off) executed on you is humilating enough.

    4. no offline mode

No hacks.  Also,  welcome to the 21st century,  enjoy your stay.

    5. RMAH

Not going to beat this dead horse anymore.

    6. weeding out the former playerbase just to include their new braindead audience (you cant use the diablo community site if you aren't subed to SC II or WoW).

Subbed to SC II?  Show the link please.  Also you'll be able to use it after you buy D3

    7. cartoony graphics, wheres the gothic feeling?!

    8. no lan

    9. more expensive but with less features than Diablo II

All AAA computer games are more expensive now,  again welcome to the 21st century

    10.  the real Diablo team is almost completly gone

Gone to make that mediocre game Torchlight 2?

Not buying it. I don't like the direction they took with the game. It looks like it will feel litte like the Diablo games of the past, which is probably a good thing after all this time because it seems to be more in tune with the newer generation of gamers, but just not for me. As to the RMT action house, while I don't like to see RMT legitimized, I'm on record here (couple of years ago actually) as saying that it was only a matter of time before companies started targeting this large demographic. Which again shows me that Blizzards target audience for D3 are todays gamers and not me.

The new always replaces the old, Same as it ever was. I had a fun romp through the earlier worlds of Diablo and I hope this next generation does as well.

I'm not advocating it, but that is not going to be a problem. People can play WoW offline if they want to.

Ubisoft did always-on internet connection for Assassin's Creed 2 and it didn't stop it from being pirated. As usual DRM efforts usually affect legal purchaers more than people who pirate.  In fact I bet there will be people who buy the game AND download a hack to make it playable offline.

I think thats almost a given. Many former Diablo players have stated they will pirate the game, cause of no offline mode, lan and the RMAH.

All online requirement will do for your game is pissing loyal buyers so they might pirate it, if they really would have liked it otherwise, paradox isn't it?

Sorry OP, but this is a poorly designed poll...

Where is the option for "I like most of the stuff about the game, but I don't like things like RMT, no mods, no online play?"

You go right from "I love everything about the game" to "I hate everything about the game."

And then your other two options are just silly.

Are you team Azeroth, team Tyria, or team Jacob?

It would be a paradox if the always-on internet was really about preventing piracy, but I don't think it is. I think its just about  marketing (collecting info about the play habits of your product is always valuable) and making sure everyone who plays be able to participate in the marketplace because thats money for Blizz.

great reply and I fully agree thats why its so laughable how Wilson is trying to defend it by using stuid stuff such as "buy better internet, today everyone has internet" and what not.

The whole always online thing is only about collecting data, then create a profile and sell it why the customer has no say and no rights.

EDIT: I guess that would go under the boycotting, but I don't really don't hate much about the game.

    +1 ....sadly

  • erictlewiserictlewis Member UncommonPosts: 3,022

Well I am not going to boycott it, I am just not going to buy it.  I could care less if other folks will buy it that's on them.

We really needed an option of I not going to buy this.

Not just about piracy but hacking, duping, and cheating in general.

But those things only impact online play. And if you play online then you are connected to Blizz's service and they can control that. To make it mandatory for all players regardless of if they are playing offline or not can only be to gather data and encourage the offline players to browse the store.

Other. I liked the first two and will wait for the reviews, gameplay footage, and player feedback before purchasing.  I don't plan to play the multiplayer at all.
