I hope that when they choose people to head to Montreal , that afew of us Canadians get the chance to go there. He'll for me it's a hour drive, the reason why I say this is because alot if not all the gaming conventions are in the US which is fine, but it would be nice to have some Canadians going since the reason why Funcom is in Montreal is because every Pennie Funcom puts into RND the government of Canada gives all that money back to the company over the next five to ten years so yeah, Funcom owes us Canadians since we are footing the development bills.
I actually thought this was a unique marketing idea because theoretically it has an end point. I don't know that I'll necessarily play, but kudos to Funcom for trying something different. However, in the end, it all comes down to how good TSW is ... maybe third time's the charm?
This seems to be a fun and clever campaign to me. But if everyone are the same as me, who loves this game but isn't motivated to do this pyramid-esque type of promo then I doubt this event will be any effective at all...

That being said, the AoC-beta was about the worst beta i've been in. I'm not exaggerating when i say that it was handled so poor that there was a rebellion of the testers about to start in it's early month. Some of you may remember as well.

I belive there are going to be alot of folks take a wait and see attitude toward this game. Funcom will have to put out a good product this time around not just promises.

I have been waiting on a game like this for years and now looks like it might be around the corner. I'll be there even if others have noting better to do than bash a product that isn't even out yet.

I was in the AoC beta and I don't really see what everyones complaining about, because most beta launches are never that great to begin with. The only one I could think of that was any good was Rift's beta event.
If you truely want to complain about Funcom, you should all be complaining about there marketing stradegy (Pay2Win) with selling pvp armorsets, and epic quality items on the marketplace in AoC. You think the beta is bad? thats nothing compared to what the game is like now. Most of that armor that sells on the marketplace is better then what you can get in dungeons below lvl 75

This shouldn't be a facebook/social media contest, but it should be a contest for those interested in the stories and riddles of the factions. Writing essays, taking part in roleplay-forums, solving riddles etc this is what I'd liek to see happening, and not some buddy-programs.

Launch date +1 year and it will be a great game. But by then you will have all moved on to the next best thing so I will be playing on my own.
