In LoTRO I can have multiple outfits I use to help with immersion depending on where I am and what I am doing. This system simply doesn't allow that.

Here's a clear example maybe people can understand - If I go to Hoth I want my character wearing cold-weather gear and I don't want to have to pop all my Mods out and put them back in my "normal" gear when I leave.

I also don't want to have to carry around or store multiple sets of actual gear just for appearance and have to spend time and credits every time I want to change my character's appearance.

Cosmetic tabs with Wardrobe Storage is just so much more player-friendly than this system.

There is no Cold weather gear in the first place so your arguement is moot.

Oh. Nice to meet you Dallas Dickinson.

Sarcasm aside, you can't possible know what there is and isn't since the game is not released yet (unless you really are a dev, which I doubt). Having "cold weather" gear would make sense. If gear dropped on hoth, it is not unfathomable that it would have a wintery look to it.

It would not hurt the game to allow for players to increase their immersion by having "wardrobes". I personally didn't think I cared until I tried it in Rift, and I found it's quite fun to play stylist.

You could certainly carry around different modded gear. However, that is not reasonable, since you would need to collect duplicate mods to create the appearance you want while still maintaining your skills.

I'm not saying the mod system doesn't sound nice. I just don't see why a wardrobe system is so unreasonable.

This is the first article that has made me feel really concerned about this game. If the topic has 20,000+ posts, and Bioware devs are refusing to budge, I am concerned on what else they refuse to budge on.

This is a minor thing that does not hurt the integrity of their game. It doesn't hurt game mechanics. It just allows players to look the way they want to.

Bioware should be more concerned about making a game players want to play, instead of resisting the community on minor details like a wardrobe tab.

Okay here's the thing, I don't know how this works, you don't know how this works, many do not know how this works.

Now My guess is it will be similar to a appearance tab, yet makes all equipmenmt viable, which IMO is great.

I think as typcial people are hung up on buzzwords (appearance tab), so much so they're not even realizing how similar this function may be to having one.

As for why they won't budge, if they've spent the time designing the system they have in place (modding), why would they nullify it by adding in an appearance tab?
