VTM:Bloodlines is really good game. I wish troika wouldve stayed in business to create some add-ons for this game.

All my opinions are just that..opinions. If you like my opinions..coolness.If you dont like my opinion....I really dont care. Playing: ESO, WOT, Smite, and Marvel Heroes
To any of you who have questions what VTM is all about. Do yourself a favor and play the game Bloodlines. It's a wonderful game and will give you an idea what to hope for or expect from WoDo.
Maybe I will save some people having to say this in threads over and over again... Probably not.
PS: Oceanside Hotel made me scream like a little girl.
QFT. One of the best single player rpg's of all time. Very, very underated in my humble opinion. I have never been able to get it to run in windows 7 though.
P.S Have played through the game about 8 times, every single time I have played Oceanside Hotel I get a very bad case of the poopy pants........Too much information? Tell it to my dry cleaner!
I got it to work on 7 recently had to run in compatability mode for XP and as an admin, had to dust off my old copy from storage hehe
Turn off UAC and you never have to mess with compatibility again. I haven't had to run even one old game in compat mode yet on 7 Ultimate x64.
I keep seeing people say that they have problems running it, but I had no problems playing it on Windows 7. Are the people that are having issues on it running the 64-bit version? That's the only thing I can think of.
I'm running the game on Win7x64 with no problems (so far) I think that you need to install the latest VtM:B Unofficial patch. I ws getting a memory error before that

I'm actualy instaling again as I type. Been thinking about this game again since the thread started. If u guys can get it to run I shall find a way as well. I shall not rest until I make it work! /salutes!
Finaly got it to work, took ages but very happy to have it back on my HD. If anybody else has trouble with getting it to run on Windows 7 give me a p.m. Don't know what clan to try on this playthrough. I don't recal ever making a noz.
Vampire Bloodlines runs great on my Win7 x64. I am a bit malkavian i guess, i absolutely loved the gameplay. Some of the other options are great too, nosferatu, living underground, eating rats...but the crazyness of the malks is the best.
Vampire Masquerade is available on GoG.com for dirt cheap and should run with any windows from XP to Win7.

I suggested this in another post about WoD. Troika going out of business was a sad day. Troika also made a great 3rd person isometric game called Arcanum: Of Magica and Steamworks Obscura..which was similiar to the original Fallout. Apparently there was a huge fallling out between Troikia and Activision in regards to the game's engine. I think it had something to do with the engine for V:TM being used for Half-Life....whatever.
I played through V:tM w/o mods and it was terrible..almost unfinishable. Installing the mods is a must. Using the + mod apparently was what Troikia wanted in the game, but ran out of time. I have found alot of player made mods for this game, it is sort of like Mount and Blade like that.
I have never played through with a Malk, maybe I will. I have with a Gangrel and Tremere..and it was a blast.
Playing: BF4/BF:Hardline, Subnautica 7 days to die Hiatus: EvE Waiting on: World of Darkness(sigh) Interested in: better games in general
I highly recommend you play as a Malkavian if you have any sense of humor at all.
That's going to be my determining factor for whether I play the MMO or not. If I can't get quests by talking to a lamp post or a mailbox, it just won't be any fun.
Also, I'm still waiting to meet a real-life version of the "sisters" as I will marry her in a heartbeat.
I wouldnt suggest that clan choice on my first playthrough. the dialog is so out there with that clan.
The game offers great replay value since one clan talks all crazy and radically changes the dialog system and one requires you to stay hidden and crawl through sewers all of the time.
Really a great game and the graphics are still good. the game holds up much better than the original unmodded Deus Ex.
Yep, I actually had it dawn on me to play this finally after reading about World of Darkness. I've had it since it released, but my PC then never could play it well, plus it was unfortunately very buggy.
Just loaded it up on a Win7 64bit system with the Unofficial 7.7 beta patch and its working flawlessly...

I loved this game. Tremere was a blast playing, though their syphon made it a bit easy.

My fave was (and always wll be) Malkavian, plus I enjoyed the challenge of playing Nosferatu

This is a HORRIBLE game, can't believe you are advocating it!
That's just crazy talk. What didn't you like about it, if I may ask?
Edit* (Asking out of curiosity on my part)
To each thier own. I thought this game was great at the time. I remember replaying it a year or two later and still liking it.
I strongly disagree...
The combat may be average at best but the story, characters and game world are amazing.
Its basically a Vampire themed deus ex.
I consider VtM:BL to be in my top five of all time PC Rpgs.
Playing: Nothing
Looking forward to: Nothing

combat was awkward and the engine always felt kind of clunky.... but DAMN was this game fun! Such a cool RPG.
