trust me man your not missing much

been in beta for 3 months and I'm just sick to my stomach on how things are/arent rolling along, cant give details for NDA would kick me but TBH i could care less right now, I'm just happy I didnt pre-order yet.

from a gamer that has played almost every mmorpg out there right now I have one word for you on this game RAW

Have heard the exact opposite from many others that have been testing.  I guess the opinions of this game are pretty varied, but much of the feedback has been positive.

And you already broke the NDA, so I wouldn't worry about it now.

Contrary to what the developers want you to think, SWTOR's beta (even during the weekends) is still very small.  Definitely not the right size given how close the release date is.  And that is not the only thing that is lacking in beta.  Comparable betas I have experienced have had A LOT more beta testers at this stage.

They may be worried you will try to get a refund after trying the beta, it has been an issue in past MMOs.

    I give up :(

I've preorded  the £129 collectors edition, been signed up to the SWTOR site since day one and ticked yes to participate in the beta as soon as it was on the site. Still no invite I guess they know I'llplay the game no matter what so my opinion doesnt count :/

I notice your icon and SWG references on your profile.  Do you feel like giving so much money to a game that represents a step further away from pre-CU SWG than post-CU SWG was is supporting themepark mmos with your purchasing power?

Yes it could be that.   Or they may instead assume since people have already pre ordered they'll be getting the game so may as well invite registered site members who havent pre ordered so that they might.  Which is sort of the opposite of what you stated.

Or?  It could be entirely random just as Bioware has said.  If it is entirely random then its a complete matter of luck.  And simply that.  So if some of you angry folks really dont think Bioware is lying, and trust them, then they've done nothing wrong.  You just werent randomly selected.

However if Im not mistaken pre-orders get early access.  With early access you get to keep your characters and start early.  This is what you knew you would be getting.  I wasnt aware it was ever mentioned you would get Beta access of any kind.  If so I apologize.

Where the hell are the EU beta invites???? image

I checked my email in-box for an invite.... and I don't think I've ever signed up for it. image

Ah, hope springs eternal, but no, I'm going to resist and not "spoil" my experience with SWTOR by playing the game in an incomplete state because as the one guy said, the 1st round beta testers had a less than perfect experience.

I'm really trying to hold off until a few months after release (ok, maybe a few weeks even) just to avoid the early shennaigans such as log in queues and what not.

The EU already had limited beta access, since the start I believe. In anycase I got my invite for the weekend and looking forward to seeing the game in the current iteration. Ill echo what someone else said, don't get to excited yet. Its still in beta. Things tend to be rough in any mmo. Especially in the first few months after release.

Didn't they say they were holding off on EU invites until they got the double top secret (regionalized) version ready for testing?

I am willing to assume it's a random pick of the the VERY large pool of testers. Maybe the odds aren't so bad as the lottery, but they aren't good either.

*shrug* I'd love to spend a weekend poking around with the game (I do TEST during beta tests) but apparently not this time around.

Cheers to all who made it for this weekend.

I find your lack of giving me a beta invite disturbing....

Localization is done.  French and Germans are testing it already.  EU members from all launch countries were invited to the upcoming Weekend Beta.  All this and more is found in the Dev Tracker.

Signed up for Beta as soon aftter that creation as I could and still nothing from them. Even preordered collectors edition hoping it would give me a boos in the pool.. Bummer.. Starting to get the feeling it'll be an overhyped waste of money anyway. Hope I'm wrong, just have to wait and see.

    my account was created 11/20/08

but i don't really want to play the beta as it ruins the game for you when it goes live.

I signed up for the beta but once the release date was out, I cancelled my beta sign up.

    Are you kidding me?

Do you know how many games I have to finish before TOR comes out so I can play TOR this year?

FIFA, BF3, COD:MW3, Skyrim, NBA, Ace Combat etc etc

    My god! :(
