Since when does anyone have to be loyal to a game? Why cant we try the obes we want? Answer is that we can, don't like it? I don't care, because its my choice so respect it.
Why do so many think they have the right to force their opinion on others?
Before anyone says they are only voicing their opinion, think of the impact a few words can have on the human mind.
Well a forum is a place to discuss opinions, it seems a lot of people view you shouldn't have an opinion just conform to popular understanding. God forbid you have an opinion that is not mainstream or popular, in that instance you almost get cast into pariah status. Most of the time there is no discussion, just people trying to pick holes in an argument or trip people up with semantics. Nobody has the right to force an opinion on another, but at the same time in a forum they have a right to express an opinion.
There is a fine line between expressing an opinion and forcing it.
By all means have one and share it with others. But don't argue about who is right, this is a game forum, everyone has tastes. It is no however, some political debate. Or in some cases childlike "my game is better than yours". or."I say your game sucks so it must be"

Kind of depends what you view an opinion to be, if you have drawn a conclusion and you state that opinion. Then have people tear into your opinion, you more often than not go to the defense of that opinion. A discussion is suppose to be about consideration of a subject by a group. More often than not the discussion becomes about a particular opinion.
The OP expressed an opinion that he doesn't see the point of TSW. They can see the game failing faster than AOC. People have then go on to ask what is the point of that opinion. There is no point, he/she is expressing an opinion and rather than people state their own, they attack what is stated.

Its what we did, the group has considered the opinion of the OP.
The group considered the opinion and came to the conclusion that its stupid.
Just like I will consider the opinion that the world is held up by three invisible unicorns, but conclude that its stupid.
Technically, discussion came about so that some members of the proto human groups could dominate other members of the group. It had nothing to do with being right or facts. Just getting people to do what you wanted. These forums are much closer to actual human nature than people think.
Also, the world is held up by four elephants on the back of a giant turtle.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

Considered it but really didn't discuss it or endeavor to put forward an alternate opinion. Just argue semantics and pick at the bones to be dismissive of any opinion put forward.
For the purpose of clarity, and my entertainment, please define MMO as you see it, and please provide an example of a game that is an MMO per that definition. If such game does not exist (to you), please provide an example how such a game would look (features).
Wikipedia definition - A massively multiplayer online game (also called MMO and MMOG) is a multiplayer video game which is capable of supporting hundreds or thousands of players simultaneously. By necessity, they are played on the Internet, and usually feature at least one persistent world. They are, however, not necessarily games played on personal computers. Most of the newer game consoles, including the PSP, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS and Wii can access the Internet and may therefore run MMO games. Additionally, mobile devices and smartphones based on such operating systems as Android, iOS and Windows Phone are seeing an increase in the number of MMO games available.
Example game - Fallen Earth, one persistant world an MMO.
This is Hilarious.
It is not "hundreds of thousands"
it is "hundreds OR thousands"
congratulations, you just proved every MMO in the world is, infact, an MMO and games like Call of Duty ain't because they lack a persistant world. Such called persistant world is the most important part of a MMO, ie: a world that continue to exist on the server even when you are disconnected, no matter how many or little players exist in that world at any time.
Farmville is not an MMO, because while it is persistent, you do not play with other players at the same time. The experience is asyncronous.

Yes I did a good job of disproving my own point . Though I still think AOC pushes the definition with it's heavily instanced setup. There is a persistant world, but it's more like persistant instances and those instances seem capped at rather low numbers.

You are absolutely right in saying that some MMO stretches it by providing a server divided into many tiny little instances (And speaking here of multiple copies of same area, not dungeons or the like) so that you could be in same place, but one is in NameofArea1 and the other is NameofArea54 and so they cannot see each other.

Did Mr.Mustard kill Colonel Sanders with the candle in the bathroom?
The real question is, did the maid place the "candle" in the bathroom, because she was manipulated by the Illuminati into working for Mr. Mustard? If so, was it setup to initiate a hit on Colonel Sanders once they found out the good Colonel was working inside a splinter sect of the Templars? Why was Colonel Sanders working with the Templars anyway, when it was already assumed he worked outside of the chosen and instead pursued goals for "hidden-tech" for the military-industrial complex ?
What do the Dragon have to do with any of this or do they have a hand in this at all?
What is the candle really, I mean really? Are you implying that the candle is actually an occult artifact that could possibly be used to cause a blight by whichever society unlocks it's secrets first?
You sir are on to something, a game is afoot, that much is clear.
Though saying if a games key feature were absent it would "fail" is rather funny
Pick a feature. Pick a game (more anticipated the better). If missing or underpar, launch post. If not missing, pick something the game can't live without, launch an attack with no merit. Watch the fun.
Standard operating proceedure.
