Then what's the issue? The game hasn't been officially released, shops are selling the game when they've been asked to release it on the 11th and you are complaining that you should be able to play a game that is supposed to be released on the 11th?
The issue would be, PC Gamers have to wait and console gamers can play right now. I don't know why they don't add a feature to lock the game on consoles as well because it is pretty unfair that they can ignore the rules while PC gamers wait.
It is the retailers that have ignored the rules, that's the problem here and who is to blame for this.
I have to agree it sucks that console gamers got access earlier then the PC gamers. That being said, it is Steams responsibility to maintain the contracts they have. Fair or not. Laws usurp fairness when money is involved.
I eather listend to you guys or you listend to my absolute truth. Shops everwhere here in holland selling Skyrim to all 3 platforms only one that can't play right now is PC becouse of steam.
And if you have read my reply's i know about offline mode and its not about if i can play offline its about steam controlling when where and how i can play that bothers me, understand me now or not i wonder lol?
If shops are actualy selling the game to be played on Xbox and Ps3 RIGHT NOW they are in violation of international law.
So I'm going to guess you don't know what you are talking about.
HOW is steam controlling when and where and how you play your game?
You click a shortcut it launches game, done, no added confusion, SURE you had to install it through steam, but thats about it.
You are chicken littleing this whole situation.
(Again, Skyrim CANNOT be sold, as in the actual disk handed to a customer, until 11/11/11, if someone violates that their company will be TOTALLY screwed, had a game company near me do an early release of Halo 3, guess what they dont' exsist any more because of the huge lawsuit that forced them to close down shop.)
So you'll forgive me if I think your story of retailers risking their business and their lively hood is met with a bit of doubt.
Either way, god forbid the OP has to wait until the actual international release date like THE REST OF THE WORLD! (including all the dutch in holland who pre-ordered from other locations.) How dare steam! It's all steam's fault.

I think you're the only one on this thread that has understood what the OP is talking about.
I guess he bought the PC version and since the PC version uses Steam as DRM/Registration he can't play the game until the 10th (Steam changed the released date to the 10th for those that don't know).
Well no, the OP is upset because the drm is making it so that he can't join his console bretheren in playing a game that they shouldn't have in their hands. He is not sayign that console players should have the same restrictions.
He wants to play it now.

I think that we get what the OP is talking about, it is just that the release date isnt until the 11th (10th now?) for all platforms. I am not the morailty police so I am not judging anyone that plays before the release date. However, crying because you can't play before release just makes the OP sound like a spoiled child or a troll. Maybe a spoiled troll child??

What I dont get is why he thinks steam has to be fair. Its a business.
