When you see the improvements one can tell it comming closer and closer to release date
I have the feeling its 95% done !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish. I have a feeling it's 65% done.
I was just reading that the first 90% of a project takes 90% of the time and the last 10% takes another 200%.

I doubt it. You have to understand that, and this is coming from ANet's own statements, all shown/hands-on material seen so far was especially polished in order to be properly presentable. We don't really know how close to completion the remainder of the game actually is, especially seeing how ANet loves to keep re-iterating things.
Civilized men are more discourteous than savages because they know they can be impolite without having their skulls split, as a general thing.
Well... the most obvious element was the dev constantly doing upskirt shots - which isn't hard, considering the skirt.

We don't like to grind, at least we appreciate a female body. Also, most MMORPG's are like that. This is less revealing than some. The gameplay is much more dynamic. Asian MMORPG's are simply... grindfests with big swords. Oh don't forget insanely oversized breasts. Overall, I don't dislike Asian taste, it's fine, but it is an attack in response to your remarks. I respect both sides.

From the bog posts, they've been developing things in layers, and are adding onto them as they go. The initial cut scenes we saw were nothing more than some basic place-holder animations and lip-synching, just to have the idea down. What we've seen now is them actually working on it now, adding onto them with more specialized lip-synching, as well as animations for characters and NPCs alike during them. They also promised to relay all the new info they were showing at G-Star to us through the Arena.Net Blog, which I'll link here. It details the new skill system, the additions to character creation, and of course the cinematic conversations people are noticing.
Just for clarity sake, if development were 90 to 95% done, that would mean it would be finished in about 3 to 6 months from now, which does seem about right. 65% done would mean about another year and a half! I get being over dramatic while embracing an inner sense of pessimism, but the 90% to 95% range is actually a pretty good guestimate.

This was a very pleasant surprise. I remember how horrible the GW1 cutscenes where at release, so the placeholder animations, while disappointing, were at least a solid improvement. The new, polished animations and lipsync are just incredible.

I agree on the Improvement point, it's nice to see that they take criticism serious. But I can't say if everything you mentioned was improved due to criticism or just Work In Progress. But I really have good a feeling with their community team (Martin, Regina, Stephane) I think they do a really good job.
That Necro vid was really fun to watch. Had a lot going on and it was funny to see a Necro & Ele both do their strongest Elites simultaneously and end up getting roflstomped. So much for them being OP. ^_^
Well, they probably didn't have to change much with the character models to Easternize them, since races like the Asura, Charr, and Sylvari look so ridiculously silly that they appear to have been created by a typical Eastern market MMO.
I guess that you'd also believe that World of Warcraft, Everquest II, and Dungeons & Dragons Online were all developed in the East due to the Tauren, the Frogloks/Ratonga, and the Warforged. What a strange world you live in.
And of course, it's not at all xenophobic to imply that if something is silly in a derogatory way then it has to be developed by a culture that isn't yoursr. Not at all. No ethnic insults implied there whatsoever, am I right?
Sigh.
Y'know, this is why I tend to be so angry. Gamers, in general, are just some of the worst people around, because they keep saying things like this. I swear, I'm a part of this big old Internet, and I have my thumb in many a subcultural pie: Furries, therians, pulp fans, anime fans, Sci-Fi fans, what have you. And none shame me on such a regular basis as the gamers.
Fantastic work, personally I think they hit the right spot here, a spot a lot of people and gamers around the globe was asking since Lineage2 and the pouring of korean games in the west. I think L2 models are just way superior than any other mmo model around, by far, and pretty much all the asian games model followed it's trend. In the west the models are usually ugly compared to them, let be honest if you look at the SOE games like vanguard models for example they just don't hold them a candle, and most western games are there. But the thing is, asian look is generally just too aggressive, the sex bomb in a medieval fashion show is just misplaced overall, so the asian "look" wasn't very well seen, especially since the asian went berserk with the sex bomb phenomena, and even the L2 models look puritan now. So definitely Anet is doing what people are asking for years now, sexy and nice model, but not aggressive to the point they are almost vulgar. The costumes are very nice too, a lot of details and nice colors. Definitely a huge bonus for me personally, thumbs up.
I hope at least the character creation options jump over. Figure there is no reason to restrict choices if you have the textures and what not already made.

As its been stated god knows how many times elsewhere by the Arena.Net staff and sites, character choices are not region-locked. Everything seen in the Korean version of the game will be available to the rest of the regions, armor sets, hair styles, all of it.

This is not a game.

BEst thing is how they changed the red and blue color combinations since gamescon...... More akin what people asked for.
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)
