I have already confirmed it so nothing to worry about. Like i said it is the details and specifics that matters simply stating you enjoyed beta doesn't lead to NDA violation.
Yup.
Most beta testers i have met so far pretty much say the same. They all loving Swtor so far.
rift beta was awesome, too. personally, the pvp experience in the rift beta lit my fire and had me GAGGING for the game. then it came out and everything had changed.
within just a few weeks you could tell the game was in trouble. all those things that were so awesome in the beta became same-same after a week or two. it's quite common for beta testers to get all hyped and then when the game is released start scratching their heads and wondering where that game went they'd been testing because THAT was awesome and unleashed.
once everyone spreads out through the game and learns their classes and finds those little imbalances and limitations, THAT's when you find out how good a game is.
Rift had alot more, this game is crap comments then swtor beta. I ve seen one guy in 3 days, say it s crap. swtor is far superior to rift in almost every facet. I saw rifts boredom within one day, of rift after rift after rift. swtor, feels more like an actually world to me.
i agree with some of this....but stating it is far superior is stretching it IMO.
Obviously, this is just my opinion, but I agree that SWTOR is far superior to Rift in just about every aspect. One thing Rift has on its side is Trion. If BioWare can be even half as active as Trion has been in their game post launch, it's not even a contest. As it is now, Bioware has already delivered a much deeper, better game than Rift. The question is, will they continue to improve the game and pump out content post-launch? That will be the key.
I haven't played yet and refuse to until launch, but from everything I know about the game I'm saying "meh."
It plays and sounds just like every other themepark game since WoW. I've played MMO's since 2002, so the game will have to be different and original to garner anything more than a meh from me. The only thing that appeals to me is the class story aspect of the game.

I imagine so. EA and Bioware are both huge, and the amount of revenue this game is going to generate will pretty much guarantee future support. People can hate on EA all they want, but EA knows its stuff. The good games they make get improved and DLC, and the bad ones are forgotten. I mean I am no MMORPG market analyst with insider information like most of the posters on this site. But I am betting on plenty of good patches / expansions after launch..
Voted good, reserving "awesome" for after I've played it. :-)

lets hope so. trion has put on the hats and coats that needed to be worn in this industry while the other big-wigs were running around naked. as i feel for ANY mmo title, to save this genre, i hope they succeed.
I didn't enjoy it when I played. The combat's so static, and the VO quests were good until they got repetetive. A shame that happened at level 8. When all the NPC's start saying the same thing for any quest that isn't class based, I just got really annoyed and began skipping through them. It turned into most other MMO's where I just accepted the quests and looked at the tracker to go complete some menial task. That being said, I enjoyed the class quests a lot. They offered a lot of good writing, the voice acting throughout was phenomenal. I just get so bored with all those static quests that it makes the overall experience negative.
I'm meh about the aesthetic and the animations were sub-par in my opinion. Other than that, there were weird audio glitches and crashes to desktop that also hampered the experience, though, that's likely because it was a beta. I don't know, I thought I would at least enjoy it for the Bioware storytelling but... erghh, I guess it's just not for me.
Yeah that sucks.. Im glad that didnt happen to me.. I cant remember any two quests that were remotely the same. Other then maybe similar goals but each was unique story and location wise.

I saw a post somewhere that they have alot of content ready to be added to the game post launch for mid to high end players. Not sure how true that is, but it s smart on their part if it s the case.
actually Addendum B parts 6 and 9 precisely tell you that you may say nothing about the game. Opinion or not. Addendum A states 2 things that you are only allowed to do: not trying to be an ass. just sayin. also the op doesnt mention beta so...it might be an open topic
ADDENDUM A
PERMITTED DISCLOSURES
1. The fact that there is a Game Program.
2. The fact that you are a member of the Game Program.
ADDENDUM B
6. Any public posting or commentary of the game based on your participation in the Game Program.
9. General comments about the Game’s overall development.
Yep, I just checked to confirm this myself. According to Addendum B saying anything about the game other than that you are in the beta is a violation. Basically, once you tell someone you are in beta you arent allowed to give any opinion of the game. Good catch!

Man I better go tell my guildmates who are showing us videos and screenshots by the gigs!! Im sure they dont wanna get in trouble :P
Fantastic! I had to keep reminding myself that this was only a temp toon and not invest too much into it. So I only played early levels of a few classes. Rolling a trooper tonight to finish the weekend then...eagerly await launch!

I went with good. I don't believe I'll ever get the "awesome!" feeling from an MMO after having played them for so many years, so I don't expect it.
Please remember that SWTOR is still under an NDA. You may not give any impressions. You may only state that you are in beta.
