Face of Mankind is a First Person Shooter.. i dont care what anyone says its not a huge roleplaying game, its a FPS with pollitics..
the only things you can ever hold in your hands is weapons (guns and or a knife). you cant do much of anything else than shoot people and run missions and chat.. -
the missions are all about standing in the same zone or walking around killing people for a good hour or so. then you wait to whenever to see if you got your credits and rank points for it. ==================
Besides them eventually adding the police bots to earth cities not much else is being added (what you see is what your going to get (im not. the game played interesting for a week or two, now i dont even see why someone logs on. there is NOTHING to do)
Gotta agree. I played for a good two days, and had hardly any fun while playing. I almost bought a gun 3-4 times, but everytime I spent more than 4 seconds on a merchant machine, somebody would sneak up behind me and shoot me in the back of the head. Nice try on making the game, but it just wont work out as an mmorpg.

Remember this game is a beta and betas have bad days. If you think there is nothing to do then read the official forums and get involved with the politics until there is more to do. I'll admit, right now, the game does limit the things you can do but when you get involved with the factions and the events going on, its something much more.
The players are running this game, it can go anywhere with them at the helm.
Keep testing guys, email the bugs in and participate on the forums and make suggestions, do your jobs (its not a free game your supposed to be HELPING THEM) and maybe the game will have a chance.
Feels a lot like the definition of "Beta" has been taken more in the sense of an "Closed Beta" or "Alpha" even.
Closed beta is where you do external testing with a group of testers who will do the more basic tests, lower level stuff, stability, basic gameplay tested in a module per module basis.
Open Beta is basically an operational release candidate. If this is what FOM has to offer, aka, if this is an indication of what the game will be ... awful.
I was following this game several years ago. It's been too long in development becuase they don't have huge resources and are a bunch of youngish guys who love games and are not a bunch of money-grabbing capatilists like the suits at Vivendi. or Sony.
It's not an AAA title, but it does have some excellent concepts that should be supported, even if they do suck in their current implementation.
And oh yes, they do suck.
For all you purists out there, this game is one of the few that has a different aim for their player base. As the growth of oligopolies in the high-street has decreased our freedom and choice and played part in destruction of the "way-of-life" in many countries, if FOMK goes down then there will be little left on the market that differs from the formula so successfully implemented by UO all those years ago.
FOMK may suck, but it deserves every ounce of respect until Sony, Blizzard, NCsoft et al wake up and realise that there's a good money to be made in innovative MMO services and start taking risks to make a difference in the games-genre we all love.
