We are still waiting on you guys to either go thru with banning constant negative posters here, as you mentioned the other day, or simply giving us a flame free forum for which to discuss the game some of us are actually playing.

[mod edit]If people want to hate and post it, let them. Just because you don't agree with their opinion does not make them "stupid" or "trolls" or even "haters". If there are posts of negativity to such a huge degree as you mentioned, then perhaps something IS wrong? Surprise surprise?
In my opinion, SWTOR is fine, it's a good game for what it is and it will have it's own niche crowd eventually. Just sit back, relax and play the damn game rather then going on forums and asking for negative posts to be taken down. geez.

No, instead what goes on is the same message is posted ad nauseum, and this forum is simply about hate, and those of us playing have no place to discuss our game due to idiots spamming that they wanted a sandbox.

you are referring to the other thread. it has nothing to do with sandbox vs. themepark.
you should step back from insulting other people as "haters" or "idiots".
Easy way to get banned: make a negative comment about WoW or Blizzard.
Tear about any other game as much as you want.

Why are you wasting your time making a useless topic? Everyone is entitled to their own opinion here, so if you don't like it then too bad. You should know better for the demanding of something that is completely nonsensical, especially when it degrades the way people think likely of you.
Damn I thougtt it was AoC , Lotro, DCUO, or swtor that had that got the majority of hate.
People can run around with "failcom" as their avatar, now imagine if someone had "Blizzard sucks" as their signature. They would be banned in a minute.

This site probably has more "sandbox" supporters than any other current gaming site, so you are bound to notice their opinions. People with similar views do tend to group together and form communities, it's human nature.
Of course, you are free to move to some other site where the majority of posts agree with your views, rather than trying to suppress dissenting views here...
ya know, I can understand some things , but is this constant complaining really needed? are most people on this site that bored? To those people I am refering to please,.go do something else, take a walk play a boardgame, or read a book,.some of those people are in dire need to education.
Everytime I come here all I read is Fail this fail that, people who do that fail at life period. All I wanna do is read about constructive things and positive things not false/half truths, get on with your life and get anew hobby.
Sorry for the rant,but I am fed up with this shit, I have been to alot of other forums and those have alot less complaining,however I still like mmorpg.com they have great articles, but it's alot of the people who come to this site and just post bullshit about every little detail they don't like either it be of a game, life, the staff that work on this site or just come here to pick a fight. Those are the people that need a wake up call, or maybe a good ass kicking!

This is what it says in the ROC on Trolling, it's pretty vague compared to what I quoted,.
Posting excessive negative comments or baiting others to respond in a negative manner is considered trolling on the MMORPG.com forums.
For example: If there is one game that you did not enjoy, voicing your opinion is encouraged. Posting this opinion in every thread concerning that game to the point that it disrupts all other conversation is not tolerated
How many servers SWTOR will launch with on release?

Thorbrand - SWTOR doesn't have longevity at all. Might be one of the shortest lived MMOs.
warcraft gets the worse trashing on this site, in its own forum on other games forums in pretty much every forum people are constantly comparing and trashing wow.
you even see certain names constantly doing it.
if they are gonna do what you ask for star wars then they need to do the same for warcraft.

Think that entitles me to expect the same consideration is given to this forum for those of us playing this game. I mean it is only part of this sites rules, and something brought up by Mike the other day.

They need to be more firm about the ROC.
I frequent (-ed) subforums about certain titles and the same fricking people get a free pass to post their shit over and over without any visible consequence. Some even get a title for it! Hi-la-rious.
Over on the screenshot section it gets worse! They too get a free pass.
You call another poster out on their bullsh-- and YOU are the one getting a warning and possibly a ban.
I would start by practicing what you preach if I were you, constant repetitive praise is no better than constant repetitive negativity.
Nobody likes a yes-man, make your point once and quit harping on it. If one is supposed to be a bannable offense, then both should be.
Do these rules get reviewed periodicity? how often? is there a review board?
Maybe its time the guys at mmorpg had another look them, define them abit clearer and amend them for fairness where applicable.

It's pretty pointless if you have a forum dedicated to a game and every single thread is a positive one.
If you have different opinions then you get interesting conversations... of course that doesn't work if you're so full of yourself and are not open to other opinions.. no matter which side of the argument you're on.
It's called free speech and it's a wonderful thing... just learn to accept other people's opinions and not just the ones you want.. or at least learn to ignore them.

Honest discussion benefits us all because we learn different POVs, that is the big benefit of discussion and interaction like this... If everyone has the same opinion what is the point ? The game just released, there are going to be reviews, thoughts feelings with such a huge release..
When the launch craze is over and SWTOR settles into its groove, then it will be a bit different...
I don't hate TOR, neither do I troll TOR forums.
However due to the ridiculous hype of the game this is where all the interesting "flavour of the month" conversations are.
Feel free to jump off the bandwagon of labeling everyone who doesn't like the game a hater or a troll.

The SWG vet forums would of had posters perma banned if that were the case. Folks come to forums to share their interest in stuff, not to listen to ten or twenty folks complain about the same things several times a day.
It is akin to the Chinese water torture, and goes against the site rules. Something Mike brought up the other day.
