I quit last week because the game is bleh. It offers virtually nothing new at less than ideal quality. Got bored VERY quickly.

My guikd is growing daily, planets are always full, or close to it. Que times for warzones seem less, never a hard time getting a group, only person in my guild that hasn t logged in, for a few days, went on holidays. Nah, it s just a small vocal minority, probably creating numerous accounts on said forums, trying to get the raid force back to their old game.

Not sure what people are saying about a "Mass Exodus". The servers are full and the lower level planets are packed. The higher level planets the population dies down slowly the farther you go, but that's expected.

I have noticed the game is a bit rougher to get the hang of level 30+ as the difficulty ramped a bit, some WoW spoon fed players seem to complain they just can't cut it. And they are right, the game is a bit more difficult than WoW, more like Everquest around the time of The Serpent Spire, just hard enough to perk your head and smack you in the face with a "Hey, you need to pay attention, no facerolling here"

But otherwise, I'm having a blast, I'll be playing SW:ToR after you guys have all moved onto harrassing a new game. Guild Wars is coming soon, go put poo on their door step.

    6:45 EST

    11 Light servers

    2 Heavy servers

    Rest Standard.

Did you just try to say this game is more difficult than WoW? Okay.......

  • fadisfadis Member Posts: 469

Sure.. people are leaving and/or slowing down how much they play.

All you have to do is check the server selection screen to see...  currently 0 US servers FULL or VERY HEAVY... about 20% = HEAVY.... 70% = STANDARD   10% = LIGHT

Would've never seen those types of figures @ 7PM EST 2 weeks ago...

You mean the two weeks ago that was during a major holiday time, two holidays in fact?  The same time frame where a lot of adults are on vacation and almost all the kids are on a winter break?  Of course the numbers were bigger back then.  Anyone overlooking that is flirting pretty heavily with trolling in my opinion.

"If half of what you tell me is a lie, how can I believe any of it?"

Well my mass exodus name for the topic might have been alittle to much, but if people read and get some info a lot of people feel they wont sub at the moment for different reason, if they are allready talking about  unsubbing now before the free month are over, what will happend 2-3 months down the road?

I am not calling TOR a fail but with that kind of budget and we got a B movie, how many would really stay with them is the big question.

If it's not broken, you are not innovating.

The fact that this game sold 1.5 million copies is in large part thanks to WoW introducing so many people to the genre.  I don't think that EA's invitation to spend the next one to three to five to seven years rotating hotkeys against Star Wars themed raid bosses (Rakata... wtf?) is going to meet with much warmth.  Star Wars will do well for a little while because it focused on pulling in tight nit guilds.  The problem is, that when one of these people decide to leave for a different title, they usually bring alot of people with them.  They'll play Star Wars for a while because it's a good way to keep in touch with their friends, and in the absence of a strong alternative, they might as well play the newest thing.  Too many good and interesting games coming out to say that SWTOR should feel comfortable with it's current offering.

really doubt anyone will leave swtor at the end of fe free month..

everyones having fun.. or the majority is anyway and even hardcore players have not geared up their first chars yet.

theres so much content to explore, diferent classes, diferent craftings, diferent stories.. will keep ppl busy for a looong while unless something weird happens.

Aion, AoC, AC, AO, DDO, Eve, Eq2, GW, MW3, L1&2, RF, RIFT, SWG, SWTOR, TR, UO, WOW, WAR

    True.

I remember that mass exodus for WAR and AOC started at end of second month.

    Dont know why...

Perhaps people feel they invested 60$ in the game, so they give it a chance one month.

Or 2 month is the time it takes for bad game to really get to you....

Not anymore after that little stunt EA/Bioware pulled yesterday.

I think a healthy number will leave, the question is how many. For games like AoC, WAR and Aion it was around 70%, which seems to be the industry average since WoW came on the scene (only LOTRO bucked the trend).

I don't think that many will leave SWTOR, but I can imagine those looking for a challenge going, whether that is solo players or raiders, anyone expecting it to offer something harder than WoW is likely to leave, if that is all they are looking for.

I also think, that maybe not this month, but next month, we'll see a lot of casual players leave. As once you hit 50 there is nothing to do solo and I can see this being a problem for the more casual player. Not having any solo content at cap is a little surprising given how many people cry about this not being an MMO.

Got to lvl 50, Sith warrior story sucked, played the shitty pvp did the boring Ops, not going to force myself to level another toon through all the crappy quests just for a few story quests. Waiting for a good game, waiting for GW2.

I have already left SWTOR, and about 6 friends of mine as well.  Messed up crafting system, not a very evolved game, meaning there reallyisn't much new here....fully voiced great stuff but tends tog et annoying after a while.  Cut scenes for everthing...again just annoying.  Did I mention the screwed up crafting system?  The game is as linear as any single player RPG out there.  Over all a pretty bleh and average game.

Havnig said that, it is a very polised game for this early in release, and as far as comparing it to other more established games, it is definitely on par with anything out right now, but thats it, just par nothing special, or ground breaking whatsoever.

This is just mine and 5 or 6 other peoples opinions, for some people this might be the best game evah! but not so much for me, huge let down if I am being honest.

If you want a new idea, go read an old book.

In order to be insulted, I must first value your opinion.

Canceled my sub yesterday, I have to admit I'm tired of the same old game play and the stories don't cut it for me enough to continue playing and paying. Had fun for the first couple of weeks but then things just started to get to me, logged in last night, hung around five minutes and thought enough was enough. Level 31, I'll probably log back in to get as far as killing my master just so I can call myself lord, I'll watch from the sidelines and see what patches bring.

Lol, I don't think as many people are leaving as some people here seem to hope/want/believe.  Those are screen shots from about 30 mins ago.

Yeah, I wouldn't be making any predictions either way until around March.  At that time we'll see if SWTOR has any legs.

thank you, maybe, just maybe, it will shut the haters up, but I doubt it. People just love to hate here. So sad.

Those people will probably just say they're photoshopped.  Ha!  Little do they know that taking and posting screen shots is almost the extent of my knowledge when it comes to computers.image

Keep in mind Mass Effect 3 is out in March. A lot of the Bioware and sci-fi fans will probably go play that. That's going to be a tough month for SWtOR.

  • DojenDojen Member UncommonPosts: 134

SWTOR will die, and it will die fast.

    It's already a ghost town.

Crafting (except for Biochem and a bit for Cybertech) is pointless since drops are better.

Bioware also made grinding a priority now and casual players will leave in droves. I'm leading the way.

Stay away from this mess of a game.

Already a ghost town? When I played yesterday there were more people around than I have ever seem before. With several instances (shards?) for every planet I was on.
