It would be funny as hell if GW2 gets bad reviews lol. Something tells me it will haha. Watch it get like a 5/10 or 6/10. That would be really funny.
Nice to see you can laugh with your own jokes.... it was pretty funny. But considering mmorpg gave SWTOR 8.7... then the demo of GW2 we saw at PAX should get more :P
..and if it does, so what? It still won't change the fact that SWTOR got a great score.
8/10 for Innovation... heheh... sure.. give me more positive reviews.. ... please..
Dont see whats funny. The companion system, crafting system, voice overs for an entire MMO, are innovative. Having quests that people just dont see a wall of text and hit accept and role play instead is innovative..because no MMO has done that across an entire game. The only thing close was AOC tortage and that was 20 levels that lasted a couple of days which didn't have choices like we have in SWTOR.
Companion system is not new. Crafting system.. erm.. what about it ?... Voice Overs sure.... that's bringing a single-player story telling system into an MMO.. it's not new.. they just used it in the entire game... does that deserve EIGHT OUT OF TEN?!
Again, tired old incorrect argument that SWTOR is a single player game and not an MMO. YES, its such a huge feat IMO it deserves a higher score. Show me ANY other MMO that has voiceovers across an entire game with choices that spawn different responses. Seriously, you must be new to MMOs
Yup it's pretty dead obvious that this game is simply a very good themepark, an even better rpg and a very addictive game.
The high review scores are merited.
Even despite some glaring issues I'm still having a hell of a time. If you factor in some time for it to mature (legacy system, polish, pvp additions, appearance system, space-additions), we have another successful, long term behemoth in our mmorpg closets.

But IT IS a single player element into an MMO game... and I also said it was new.. the fact that they put it into the entire game.. not the actual Voice Overs since AoC had it to some part. Do I have to repeat my self again for you to understand?
The game is a good GENERIC theme park game... and it's bound to have followers since it's also a Star Wars game... but it doesn't deserve the insane marks they give it.
You enjoy the game... will you enjoy it less if it gets more realistic numbers?... If you give 8/10 for innovation to a game that has only taken a mechanic allready used but has spread it over the entire game, what do you give games that REALLY innovate?...
If you give it 9/10 for aesthetics (!!!)... what do you give games like LOTRO for aesthetics?!
7.5 for Social when it has minimal social features and many generic ones lacking?...
Like the game all you like.. but don't be a rabbid fanboi that's immune to realistic scores... it won't make your game any less fun.
It's great that people like the game and have finally found someting worth spending their time and money on or to get away from WoW with.
But no matter if you like the game and have a great time or if you skip it for whatever reason, both parties should keep common sense together: All these great reviews that praise the (or any other big) game and barely touch any of the plenty negative things about them can't be taken serious -not by the game's fans, nor by it's critics.
Great reviews are where the money went. That goes for the majority of all these big webpages, they write what they are paid for to write - including this website.
Today the community is split in lovers and haters, but we should keep one thing in common: Reviews, good or bad, are not what they seem to be. It's a little journalism and plenty of business.

Who knows man. Maybe it will get a low score. how do you know? No one here played the game yet except for a few (demo version). But it will be pretty funny if the game gets a 5/10 lol. I can already feel the tinfoil conspiracy theory.

I don't give a damn how much it gets. It looks fun from the videos and information I'm going to try it. If I don't like it I won't play it.
Before SWTOR was released every single GW2 video looked better than every single SWTOR video.. in every aspect.
Once SWTOR was released and I got to play it it was even more obvious. I'll let you know when I play GW2.

Well it will be funny for some.. dissapointing for others. GW2 promises TOO MUCH.. if it delivers on half of them I'll be happy.
I was a long time SWTOR fanboi before I got to play it... I don't hate it now and I'm fine with people enjoying it. I just don't like the blatant lies in the forms of 9/10 reviews.
You should empathize with me... you have a game you like playing... I don't.. yet
SWTOR is just awsome having lots of fun, it is by far the best mmo in the market, and most people playing arent burning time, they are playing it because it rocks, of u can buy GW2 when it comes out, it isnt even in the same league, free games are sub par, but i believe that GW2 is the best no sub game of them all, a smart person plays a subed mmo and gw2, if they have time ofc.
i dont have time to play 2 games, so ill stick to SWTOR

Then maybe you can explain an 8/10 innovation score for SWTOR
Maybe you can define to me a universal definition of what is innovation? because it has different meaning for different people. Since you love to blow GW2 trupet in every topic...what is innovation in GW2 means? doing something completely different and unique? or improving on existing features? innovation could very well mean both and same time neither.

I mention GW2 only when mentioned allready actualy. I'm being very realistic as to what to expect from the game.
But yeah... innovation is both of what you mentioned. What does TOR do better or has created uniquely to deserve an 8/10 innovative score.
Then if you're so kind as to take a few other mainstream MMO games you've played that were released before TOR was... and mark them the same way.
It shouldn't take too long.. and it will prove my point.. or shut me up.

Well swtor hasn't done anything that has not been done before so it can't be that.It has pushed the story mode a bit furtther than, let's sat lotro but that's about it .
Don't even mention VO because that has been done already, starting with eq2 seven years ago.
This game is the epitome of ignorant American mediocrity, I'd love to explain it, but every time I even drop hints everyone starts yelling, "LOL POLITICS", when in reality it's just as much politics as it is the future of gaming.

Prove your point about what? that no two people would agree on same definition of what is innovative? you still haven't given me what you consider innovative. For me personally innovation means doing something different / improving on existing features and implementing non standard MMO features... SWTOR does it all so i would also give it 8/10 any day.
Sorry if i disagree with your version of what is innovation doesn't mean SWTOR is any less innovative just that it is not the innovation you were looking for.

My brand new bloggity blog.
Is it a terrible game? No it isnt. Is it near perfection like most 'reviews' have given it 9/10 scores? No it isnt.
Even the most rabid fanboi has to agree at least to himself that these 'reviews' are full of shit.
