swtor isnt going to burn and guild wars 2 will only get about a mil or two just like swtor has.
the two games have mostly seperate crowds in the first place, and most hardcore guild wars 1 fans arent that excited for gw1 as its nothing like it. They will continue to play 1.
While GW2 has a good appeal as far as dynamic questing and graphics its also going to be a game that forces you to pay 19.99-39.99 for content updates. Which will turn a lot of people off. They would rather spend the 14.99 per month or 34.99 per 3 and know their content is coming without being force to pay for it further.
Others wont care about the pricing of guild wars 2 like myself. I will play guild wars 2 when my dailies in swtor are done and when my guild is done raiding. Guild Wars 2 will be my bitch on the side.
Not the success of the game, lots to prove yet. But the lost of contact of this forums with SWTOR community.
The day of patch 1.1 after see the forums war about that debacle and the bad patch, etc.. I login into the game only to found; nothing.
Everyone was playing as always not general comments about it. No people crying, just people playing... I was really surprised but then I realized how far from the truth this forums are.
don't know what server you are on but after 1.1 people were crying nonstop ingame in general chat

Lol I PLAY on the EU servers and they are NOTHING like they were just 2 weeks ago. Fri/Sat watching my son play and 70 people was ALL that was on where He was " peak time ".. it was DEAD.. ooh HEAVY server. No the game is not dead but to say people havent left .. what happen to all the full servers? Ooh I get it they all left for more emptyer (its a word lol) servers. We know they never up'd the server limit. So where did all those people go..
Anyway as fun as it is the 1-200 people in each instances is really hurting the game
And I'm guessing you didnt post this in SWTOR forums because it would have been locked.. so you post it here.. and you call others trolls..
To be honest I was expecting the trolls to be right because I was'nt paticulary impressed by ToR and have put my sub on hold for a few months before trying it again .But logging on today I've seen 30 heavy load servers at peak time in the EU and no low ones . The mass exodus hasn't happened in the way many predicted . Well I guess the trolls will now shift the goal posts and say it'll happen in month two or three or six . But facts are facts and Bioware seem to have a solid player base for the moment to build upon .
Server load numbers are unknown, hence you (we) have no idea of what they are. Heavy could indicate 10 people or 10,000 people.
So there is no fact in your post but I will tell you there are waves of threads on SWTOR's official forums about the need to combine servers.
amazing, last week it was a mass exodus, free month coming to an end = swtor will epic fail.... Now it's "too early to tell".
only people who said after first month it was going to be mass exodus were just trolling.. anyone with any sense could say this sort of game which is highly single player focused would keep people interested in the stories for a least up to 3 months or so then its really going to depend what bioware can do when most of the playerbase is at max level grinding out the same operations, flashpoints, and warzones and start getting that extreme sense of deja vu much like Rift...
7-8pm on a Saturday night for the European servers and only a single one shows Very Heavy. Everything else is mostly Standard and Heavy. The game is dying faster than any MMORPG I've ever seen.

like said couple posts above forum load means nothing no one knows what heavy means or light means or anything.. I know some games its based on how many people are in the starter areas and some its overall population.. don't know at all what star wars uses for those numbers..

Screenshot please?
Honestly NA servers are like that also, all you have to do is logon.
No need for a screenshot. Anyone can just click on http://www.swtor.com/server-status and see for themselves. Tomb of Freedon Nadd is the only European server with a Very Heavy load.
The "wait and see approach" only applies to when EA will state what their subscriptions are.
Keep in mind, they are a publicly traded company and sooner or later they will have to state some figures. But server load and your perception of it are subjective. Like people have said it depends a variety of factors:
1. When your playing.
2. What server your on.
3. What zone your in.
4. What time you long in.
5. What shard your on.
And that's just your perception... Keep in mind I know of a bout 10 people who received multi-month gift cards for the holidays that will discontinue their subs after that... But again, that's hardly representative of anything except my 10 friends...

Don't post facts, Fanbois don't like that.
Haters never give up, but is just fun to see them eating their own words so many times already with swtor. End of the free month, and guess what, there is nothing like a ¨mass exodus¨ TOR = 1 Haters 0, once again.

If I was a bioware dev and I saw those euro server stats I would be worried. ESPECIALLY because it's after the free month expires, considering game that took "200 million" dollars to make. I would be looking for a new job in the coming months...

It's prime time (from 19:00 to 22:00) in Europe, on a Saturday night, in the first month after the game's launch...for MMO lovers that equals to...going out on a Saturday night? Nah.
Did people click on a different server status link or what? If so then do share with the rest of us.
My guild and server is till thriving. there is no mass exodus becasue guess what! the forum troll sare the minority. nothing more. The other thousands of players who dont post are enjoying the game.....but you knew that anyway. I'm just feeding the trolls.

I want what you are smoking, bet you are waiting for TERA still huh?
:-p
What about Prime time? You expect the server loads to be at VERY HEAVY all the time?
What happened did you all forget the server load doesn't show HOW MANY PEOPLE are in the game, it shows HOW STRESSED THE SERVER IS, meaning that if there are A CRAP TON of people on the server in ONE area it will show it as VERY HEAVY. If there are A CRAP TON of people spread out in a large area it will show as Light.
Honestly, I think we've had enough of these topics from both sides of the coin over the past week. Let's get back to discussing the actual game. Thanks!

Wait for it.... It is going to happen no worries. The first free month don't count.
Grim Dawn, the next great action rpg!

Very good server with nice community.
Maybe it just that different servers. During the next 2 days after 1.1 only one player commented that he was getting worse fps during warfronts.
I didn't saw any comments about Illium or other issues in the fleet or any warfront.
Maybe in Illium could have been but true is I don't worry about engame until 3-4 months after start playing when I'm closer to it

The servers might be full or heavy but there is no doubt that a lot of people canceled their subs because the game frankly just sucks.
