I recommend buying it and playing it for 1 month.

Pick Jedi Knight or Sith Warrior to play the "REAL STORY". Only play one of those though, since you will have to go to the same planets 90% of the time. Yes, there are different places to quest, but same mobs and tiles. Very boring 2nd time thru.

Don't space bar ANYTHING unless it is an alien speaking their gibberish - then read and skip.

Do this, and you will be happy with the game.

    But don't sub.

As soon as you sub, you may feel like  a lot of us did - taken. We made a mistake. Learn from us.

Then again, maybe you like it enough. And each month is just $15. Whatevs.

If I could redo it, I would have done what I recommended.

Someone please make a good MMO.

Honestly, I would wait for the game to drop in price.  It is EA/Bioware, so that may take a bit, however since they have introduced Origin seems like they have stuff going on sale a little more often.  Most of the people I talk to about the game, gamer friends, seem to already be burnt out, and I include myself there.  I didn't even make to 50.

It's a fun game for the most part and I did enjoy my month of it, but I just could not take anymore go kill 20 dudes and click on something quests.  So unless you are really hard up for Star Wars, you can get the similar gameplay elsewhere for much cheaper or even free, well minus all the 100m dollar (I don't know how much they spent just a random number, no need to correct me thanks) voice acting :P

i really enjoyed the free month and played many races and classes to know about each of their own stories.... After subscribing the first month then it started feeling like its not worth the sub for me... i couldnt keep playing and enjoying as much as i did the free month... so i moved on

This is a mega bad question to ask here cuz no one is straight in the middle to give you a good idea on the game.

Those who didnt got what they wanted at launch in game are pissed off and will say don't buy it it's a piece of junk

As for other people like me i love the game, it's cool and for me it's the first time i found an alternative to wow!

Basically go read REAL OFFICIAL review (forget forums reviews, only qq there.) And wait for a trial or check if a friend got it and want to show it off to you!

But most importantly, never ask that question again here!

There's also qq on official forums.

this game is definitely fun for the first few levels, love the companion story (kira) , and like dot that your companion can clear trash for you.

other than that you will feel its a very very linear game, if you've play war and aion before you'll know. And with much lesser things to do.

I can't bring myself to log in anymore, sub end in 2 days time. So op, as many have suggest, buy it and try it yourself, if not you won't lose anything by skipping this game too.

This is horrible advice.. telling someone to buy It and saying its not worth subbing 2. Why the hell would you buy an MMO if you dont plan to play it for a longer period of time. You might aswell buy a single player game or wait for GW2...

i suggested the same and ONLY if you are a star wars fan... what other star wars games have come out lately? either way for a star wars fan like me I got my 60 bucks worth but its not worth paying monthly sub for...its not even a good as a single player game honestly but it's star wars so yea...

If you took time to read any of those hate threads you wouldn't have to ask in the first place.

Never said to go on official forums! Gamespot, 1up, ign, friends!

That's sad they don't release demo anymore as fast as they used to do before! Could help making the choice. Also remember this little sentence : "Destination doesnt matter much, the journey is the important thing" If you play with that in mind you will love the game! If you rush like a mad cow threw all the level and get to the end figuring out there isnt 5238 houres of gameplay left because the game as just released you will be sad. Get the point?
