Post your thoughts on the CBT1. I, personally, hardcore played the full 60 hours. The combat system was amazing, the world bosses were soloable if you had the skill to dodge correctly, and the PVP is pretty balanced. As a priest, I only got prison-anal-raped by Archers.
R.I.P Closed Beta Test 1 of an amazing MMO.

I levelled three toons to 22 and the servers are still up bye the way.
How did you manage to do that when you're only allowed one character per server and there are two server available?
I don't dispute your claim. Hardcore playing I would have been able to do the same I suppose, given how much time I had left after I maxed my first lvl 22.
He made 1 character per server. One of the servers disappeared from the list, though. Not sure why.
i think they could balance pvp a little bit more... berserkers dont anything to retaliate against any ranged class.... archers and all casters grab a berserker and kite his big heavy ass everywhere.... lol
note: i still love my berserker.
As I said, two servers were available (EU), one character per server equals two characters total. Again, I don't dispute that it is possible, I believe you can do it, especially as an experienced MMOer.
I didn't get to play
I hope I get into the next one. I'd like to try before I buy, though I suspect I'll enjoy it either way. I'd still like to sample the classes and have an idea of what I want to start the real game with though, especially since people are coming down hard on the Archer, and that's what I was looking forward to playing.

there was indeed 2 servers at a time. I read there was 2 servers A and B (forgot the names already), and B was taken down for technical issues and server C took its place. Thats what i read,,, so in the end there was 3 servers (2 up at the same time). I believe thats why he had 3 toons, maybe when the server B was taken down he already had a lvl 22 there

Guess I have to wait and see how Archage will do.....TERA looks to be just another "solo to end game" WoW clone, with new combat mechanics.
PS2 is going F2P and now this, I'm very sad right now.....
You'd be hard-pressed to call TERA a WoW clone. Though, yes, the huge solo aspect of the game is something that was complained about in other countries, but it's worth noting that you're not going to be able to solo crap unless you know how to dodge and strategize, especially world bosses. My understanding is normal enemies are jokes, but BAMs and world bosses will take a lot of practice before you manage to solo them well, even if it is possible. I'm okay with that. It doesn't necessarily mean it's practical or that it won't take forever to solo them, but it's a possible challenge for those up for it.

that's a little unfair, youre assuming that just because something is soloable, that it is easy.

Taking into account how long "westernisation" takes, I wouldn't expect Archage to launch in the west in less than a year from now. Especially considering that the game hasn't even launched in Korea.
Boggles... It's not a wow clone, its an Aion clone, well Aion and L2.. anyone that can't see Aion in Tera is blind.
they dont have a publisher yet either.

Well, here is a MMO i consider buying.
Mind you - depends how close to release of GW2 it will get ...
i dont care if its wow,aion,uo,poker,farmvile or whatever clone... i will buy it
played CBT and it was awesome, i dont think its bad idea to get "something good and put it together" and actually it works with TERA so far... only thing what i dont like and i heard it in CBT a lot, when some1 made "Elin" they called him "OMG loli..another pedo.." ... i dont see whats wrong with picking some race....
I wouldn't worry about them, they are missing some mental screws, obviously. I had a guy yesterday passing by and whispering me homosexual insults, because I was playing a female and I had an obvious male avatar name.

Ah wouldn't you like to know, but seriously i have two pc running as i am an avid two boxers plus one runs on Virgin media and the other is BT server provider.
I actually got a mystic to level 8 as well so actually nearly 3.5 characters.
I only played a little CB (only up to lv12), had fun though. I'm really waiting for OB so i can start playing for real.
