Topping the music charts doesn't make you a good musician, same applies to mmo's and their community.

I would bet my first born that WoW does not have 10 million players right now.

meh, I'm just going by what their latest report says

anyway, the point is that they have so many players right now that there is no need for them to make a similar game

    Currently bored with MMO's.

I'm afraid those who wish to rabidly pursue MMO like a hunter chasing down a wild board do so from a very tenuous position. The only reasonable metrics available are the ones that seem to imply the aforementioned statement regarding WoW. You are more than welcome to disregard those metrics - the only metrics (and I'll keep saying that) - at your discretion, but that doesn't make you right. It just makes you wilfully ignorant.

No thanks. The faster Blizzard keeps firing staff (600 last count = GOOD) and the faster their corruption of activisionitis is revealed the faster this company will decay from within (also GOOD)

The only good thing blizzard can do for gaming as a whole innovation wise is go bankrupt and dissapear.

Blizzard has become the J Beiber of Pc games.

And to the retards talking about metrics...according to your logic then ...facebook games are the second comings and all games should be measured to their standards since they have the ABSOLUTE proven most subscribers and most people online at any given time playing right?

WoW is the best because of their measly 10 million players...not hardly. How bout the 230 million facebook clickers???????

Wow is small change in the wordwide money machine.

I agree. Now every developer in MMOs wants millions of subscribers, which is fairly unfeasable unless they cater to the lowest common denominator like WoW.... and so the WoW clones are spawned, none of which are good enough for people to actually leave the existing WoW community (I use that term loosely) for.

You're kidding, right? There's nothing unique about WoW. The only thing Blizzard did better than anyone was advertise. Blizzards never had a unique idea in their life, a new WoW would be just as boring as the current one. And next gen graphics? WoW looked outdated the day it launched and still does. Keep dreaming. We need a genre without WoW and its clones.

Yes and justin bierer is #1 watched in YouTube, therefore he is best ,most brilliant, most sexy, most intellectual, most RPG,most whatever, ever made.

just like Jason Donovan,Rick Astley  or whatever before him.

isnt that weird that somehow "best ever made" can change if you use that kind of methods.

I'm seeing a pattern here, namely absolutely disgusting things being said by people that hate wow players.

Pot calling the kettle black, I suppose.

You lot are no different, whatever the hell that means.

I think they are working on it. It's called Mists of Pandaria.

well I just hope they use the "old" WoW model and not the current far-too-easy and linear model.

They wont make the same mistake soe made by making a 2nd of their most popular title.  If SOE just invested the money they spent on EQ2 into EQ it would of turned out 10 times more profitable then EQ2 did.

With WOW why make a 2 when the 1st one still has 10 mil players ?

Your one of those people where WoW was the first MMO you played, To me i hope Blizzard enever makes another MMO because they screwed up the MMO market trend, and ruined the 95% of all games that came out in the last 7 years which were trying to copy WoW.

WoW only got so many subscribers because there were the first game to do world wide advertising so people who didnt know about mmorpgs ended up getting it.

To me all the games pre WoW were much better than current day releases although some up coming ones look like they may be changing the market trand again and thats what im looking forward to.

If MMORPG's are to have a real future, I hope this doesnt happen, you dont take the next step by making a new version of the same game, you build on the mistakes and triumphs of the last and make a better game.

Hopefully we will see this amazing game this year :)

Except a huge % of wow players have/will never play another MMO they're not your typical MMO player.

This is true for every thing from a complete graphic engine overhaull to completly new game play, honestly the only thing that would get me back to WoW these days is "vanilla hardcore" servers, no new mechanics, no pvp stats, no mounts with 10 tons of armor on them, no flying mounts, exploration back in game, harsher penalties, world bosses, and an actuall community :)

Old PvP ranks were a nice feature ,dang it!

To hard for a couple WoW gamers so they QQed and they nerfed it making it easier like every other part of there game.

Yea-I go back to beta testing WoW. I liked the old game allot better than what is found now.  I 'd like to see another WoW based on the orginal format.

I dont think they spend money in EQ 1 atm, they are making a new everquest game atm called Everquest next (just tempory name) that is spose to resemble Everquest 1 alot more so thats why they wont spend a whole lot of money on EQ 1 atm since they seem to remaking something similar upto date version of it.

Yep, the best bet for Blizzard is a WoW V2.0, with updated graphics / character models.
