I'm an ultimate Star Wars fanboy, hell I have a Star Wars leg sleeve tattoo, but this game is falling fast for me.

 

 I was so excited when I started playing, and loved it right till level cap. Then I realized there is nothing to do. Eventually I got into the BM pvp grind and was excited to log in again, until I actually hit BM. I once again realized there is nothing to do in this game.

 

I've cleared the ops that even 12 year old WoW puggers think are loleasy, and I've ground BM....game over?

 

This patch is adding some nice fundamental features, but nothing to keep me busy.

 

As much as I want to love this game, I just can't. I guess I'm back to floating from MMO to MMO once my SWTOR sub ends.

the big  ?? here is the in game event!if it is static like the quest then it wont help but if there is actually someone doing this live then it could be just the ticket!

Still enjoying it a ton. Been playing it since release and still not to max level because I'm enjoying the RIDE and my many alts.

What I wanted was open world PVP, instead they're just doing all they can to kill whatever this game had of it. I mean it's all small grouped PVP in warzones and stuff, like I can get that in a standard Multiplayer game so why would I pay a subscription for it?

1.2 Moved into April and out of March like they said it would be coming since the game released. I had a good feeling that the patch itself would be pushed back to try and intice players to stick around so they can check it out.

I don't get why Bioware constantly preached this patch coming out in March and then this, they still have plenty of time in the month to release, but this is more bait and switch tactics by them (IMO).

They figure they can push it back and no one will care as long as it comes out. That's true for the most part but the deception in trying to get people to hang around with the carrot-on-a-stick patch waving in front of their faces...

Or maybe they're testing it further and need more time to polish it?  

 

They are actually going to greater lengths to test this patch then they have in the past.  

 

I doubt it's anything as evil as you make it out to be. Stuff gets delayed. They probably just want to make sure it's ready.

I'm enjoying the game as I level. I'm 31 now and do enjoy the storyline. What I see from this video the end game seems to focus on the same thing I did in Wow. (Raids,PVP, Dungeons) Does it not continue the story for your characters at end game in some way? or is it pretty much turn in to another raid / instanced PVP / dungeons / dailys game?

That's all it is, carrot-and-stick. My sub runs out March 20th ( haven't played since January 28th ). There's nothing in those patch notes to make me want to re-sub. 90% of that list should have been in there at launch.

That's all there is. When your main quest line ends ( between 43-50 however fast you do it ), that's it. Re-roll for a new quest line ( which includes doing the 90% of the same stuff you did the first time through so you can enjoy the 10% of new story unless you go do a character on the opposite faction ) or hit the raid/PvP treadmill grind you find in every mmo out there.

Yeah if your hopes are pinned to open world PvP, I'd say it's probably a lost cause at this point. At the very least it's a log ways off.

They seem to be actively trying to kill it off and sweep it under the rug.

So the carry on trying to do WoW 2.0. If TOR released 5 years ago it would have been a good game, by today's standards it nothing...



300 mill and we get WoW in a Star Wars skin, I really hope GW2 crushes this game so no one ever again trys  to do another WoW clone!!!

Time for genre to move forward at last.

I like the trailer indeed, I might buy SWTOR for myself and play it till GW 2 comes out, if the patch is successful, and who knows I might play it alongside GW 2 due to no sub.

Hey dub any mention about making the worlds a bit more lively and what not, if not that's no biggie, I'll still keep an eye on the game after patch an see how things go.

First the delay.

They're recruiting guilds to test the end game operations and this is gonna take a few weeks to test.  You want them to test content patches, but complain when they delay the release because of testing ?    They're also hiring local testers to come in and test operations in house with development staff.

 

They seem to be testing this patch and making sure its what the players want and you complain ?  The truth is some of you dont care what they do if they announced it would be released this week you would be the first people here saying omg they didnt test it why didnt they delay it to test it ?   

 

This patch is HUGE and hopefully its good, but you can never please everyone.

Haters gonna hate, easy like that, for the people who is actually playing the game the 1.2 update is a HUGE step forward for the game, and is just the beginning. In 6 months the game will be just huge, i have the patient to see it growing because, guess what, the game is fun. And they just say something about a ¨space combat secret proyect¨, the 1st expansion maybe?. Even with this forums are full of haters and GW2 fanboys, swtor is an amazing game and 1.2 the 1st of many great updates for the game.

No mention about making the world more lively yet. I don't really know if there is a topic in their Q&A's that would really be related to that.  

 

Maybe in the roleplay session?  I dunno.  I'ts kind of a big issue to a lot of people so maybe someone will force that question in.

pipe down ser!i recall when wow lunched burning cruisade!people YELLED foul ,blizzard you screwed our game!etfc etc etc!they were at what 1.5 million!check now 10 million later the hater of vanilla wow has quiet down and yet we still wait the day blizzard will have to close door because wow is unpopular!

Sounds like they are starting from scratch with Ilum. Sounds like what they need to do.

Pretty sure you misunderstand my post

 

Not saying WOW failed im saying how people judge games today wow would of been deemed a failure at release yet we all know it didnt turn out that way.
