As if it was just lowbies, and no you can't even come close to doing this in most games.
SW:TOR, Rift, WoW all come to mind, FFA factionless PvP from level 11 onward is not in any of those games.
Anyway, not quite sure how this much stupid happened in this thread, but I'll give my input anyway since everything stemmed off my videos and I also play on Korea.
A: Doing more damage to lower levels is pretty stupid, yes. There are no actual buffs or debuffs though, (that I'm aware of) you just simply do more damage to lower level things, be it mob or player. Low levels can still stun/knockdown high levels all the same though, by the way. For instance: I crit for over a million damage on the level 30 fences near the crab BAMs on that one island with my 60 Sorcerer's Overchanneled Fireblast. Normal crits in PvE don't go over like 100k tops unless in very specific situations where mobs take more damage or whatnot. (Nor do 100k crits happen in PvP, mind you.)
HOWEVER, think about it: If someone 5 levels lower than you is fighting you, whether you take more damage or not your life total is much lower and you're still going to get one or two shot anyway due to the sheer stat differences. Happens in WoW, would happen here the same. Without artificial level caps in like beta has it won't be that big of a deal. You die once in awhile, you rez and swap to another channel. Shit happens. (Btw, never level in channel 1 if you have a choice.)
With that said, three of my friends at level 17 killed a level 32 Berserker last beta. Yes, it's against a Berserker which is slow as shit, but it can be done.
B: One shotting doesn't really happen at 60 like people claim. Yes, you can get pretty close with certain abilities. But being outgeared does NOT mean you auto lose 100%. I'll link to the thread where I posted a bunch of new videos at 60 so you can see that for yourself. I'm not in the best gear, it is gear lvl 142, where as I fight a lot of people at equal or higher, and a couple lower. I win some, I lose some.
The biggest factor here is buffs through crit scrolls, pots, etc. In one of the videos (I can't be f'd to find where specifically atm, but it's in one.) I was killing an Archer pretty decently but he runs into the safe zone. Inside the safe zone he fully buffs up, comes back and basically 3 shots me. From that point on I tried to fight him 3-4 times and couldn't win due to the buffs, even though I got him low and he had to pot the first time. This guy had a +7 tier 13 (new highest tier @60) bow, and full +12 enchanted tier 12 gear otherwise. His gear was pretty top notch while mine is not.
Other than that, I do have some fights where I either win or come very close to beating people with some +12 weapons and whatnot. I do lose some outright too, but it happens.
C: Stunlocking/knockdowns are the biggest downfall to the combat. Yes, it's dumb. However it's something that may get better with gear too. My gear still isn't up to par for PvP, nor do I have much to reduce their significance. I think if I gear around that stuff happening more it won't be quite so bad. Either way, some stuff is good, some stuff is bad. I'll rage over this a lot as it happens, but it's something I'll accept because the rest of the game is quite a ton of fun. Plus, with a good group this shouldn't be happening a lot anyway.
The game isn't perfect. Every game has flaws, however I've been enjoying it quite a bit more than anything else in the past few years and I've played many MMOs to date. Don't listen to all the misinformed people trashing the game because they're either bad or read about people that are bad whining over something.
