from what i've seen in-game this game will not be dead.i pre ordered a couple of months ago i think.i have been in every beta, but only for a short while.didnt want to sicken myself.and the servers were packed.but here's the thing,it said the servers were low even when they were packed.never quite understand that one but there will be loads to play this game.even if it eventually goes f2p,which it may do at some point.

In a lot of ways it's better for a game to be somewhat forgotton. It keeps the trolls away. They tend to like playing to a bigger audience.

Fail game is a fail game, subs. is not a good indicator for this. TERA need to get some proper end-game going, preferably with the political system and PvP involved. If not it will suffer the same fate as in Korea where people played it for 1-2 months and then left because there was nothing fun left to do.

im playing the korean version and the endgame is there not to mention with the new patch ...next time before trolling do some reasearch

About the server been full of ppl playing on Betas, we shouldnt forget that they offer alot of keys around web.

We only know about the real server status in 1st month of release, and then have a some sort of preview how this game goes in number of players on 2nd and 3rd month.

About how is sucess or not on west, maybe close to the end of year we can talk about it. But i dont care about this, if i decide to stay i just need a EU server with alot of activity.

    Me too.

I was searching on official site for this info and didnt find any.

I know my "search skill" sucks so it was nice if someone provide some offcial link about how is going to work the political system.

Since last patch game is ranked nº 3 of all korean mmos. Only Aion and lineage have more subs.

I dont call that a failure after a year. Warhammer online is a failure, Tera don´t.

Im gonna do what i do for most MMOs i have been waiting for. Buy it try it for the month and if im still playing it after that first month or have settled on a character then they will get another month out of me if not then i cancel and go with another.

for the price i get my moneys worth in that month so i dont mind helping the Devs on making some extra money.

    ASUS G74sx
    i7 quad core
    16gb ddr3 ram
    3gb ram Nvidia 560M
    240GB SSD & 750GB

that is what any smart, wise costumer  would do.

or you can wait a week or 2 after the game gets released,  and ask people you know personally,  friends, relatives, etc for a review.  since they are usually the ones who share similar gaming interests with you.

i always follow my own instinct.

in Swtor i got myself lured into playing it, thanks to my hubby who was highly influenced by the mega huge hype.  according to him, swtor was gonna be the new Messiah in the MMO genre!p   we played the game, and i loved it,  right untill we got to level 50.  then we found a Game Over  , Dead end,    so we quit a month after, and now the game box is sitting getting dust on a shelve.

i made the same mistake with ME3, huge hype, great amazing game everyone and their mother kept saying.  bought it, and once more wasted 70 euros more, for less than 20 hours of entertainment.

this is why i no longer rush to preorder games, right away anymore.  been there, done that.  is best to wait, and get reliable information about it, before doing so.

when i say reliable information, i mean,  from people you know personally,  from friends that share your similar interests, or that happen to know, what sort of things you enjoy in a MMO.   ignore every Gaming site,  fanboys,  youtube,  Haters, etc, etc.

Every gamer will learn this soon or later. Most devs still have luck and continue making millions on release day because theres allways new gamers every day, and this new gamers dont know how to control their emotions about "hypes" image

indeed.  unfortunately we learn the lessson the hard way.

i wasted tons of euros in games that only gave me, a month or 2 of entertainment the most.

That blows but the license they have is not for Asia and 2/3 of Russia is in there so I can understand why they do it that way.

I don't think the game will be dead in EU, the game should be able to go around fine. While I don't think it will be huge the development cost for it in the west is not so big so it should do fine. My guess is around 300K Western subs.
