Comparing it to his GW2 review, this one seemed a little skewed. I expected something more objective. At least he found the PvP aspect favorable.
Just because you disagree (presumably) doesn't mean he wasn't objective.
He backed up every point he made with real examples, and as such it's hard to argue against the points raised. If however you can then please feel free. Don't just state that he wasn't objective and leave it at that though. If you disagree, explain why.
He wasn't objective about much of anything. He took repeated cheap shots at TERA by singling out the most odd extremes as with the MMO-FO promotion and singling out Elin because Elin make up all of the race options in TERA and define what the game is. He also stated he is not a big fan of PvE and somehow blames TERA for him not enjoying PvE..... considering he is not a big fan of the PvE aspect of MMO's then I'm not really sure how TERA is at fault for not making him love it. He complained about the lack of mob variety on the Island of Dawn and implies for your entire stay their all you kill are trees. I am not sure how many quests are on the island but I can tell you that you have all of 5 quests, 1 of which is for a boss, to kill tree like mobs. After which you dont see another tree type mob for 10+ levels. 5 quests in the span of 11 lvls, killing slightly varied mobs is hardly something to create a rant as big as he made made out.
He complained about combat being too easy but if you watched the video of him playing, his dps and use of his character is extemely low. Yes in an action based game you can run around and avoid atks as a ranged class and slowly kill just about anything. This is why an archer is rated as 2 star for difficulty. The class does not require a lot of skill to play but he fails to mention this and just says the game either got easier or he is god. That being said, playing an archer effectively can still be very difficult but if you want to spend 30mins killing a BAM with very bad dps then yes you can do this as a ranged class with very little effort but doesn't make you good at the game. All hardmode bosses have enrage timers where bad players will not be welcomed.
Truth of the matter is my opinion on TERA is not very objective because i honestly can't help but enjoy the game. I however can still look objectively at what other people say about it. He had valid points but completely drown in an overly emotional rant about why he doesn't like a feature.

Haha Mike B just hates pve, does not matter what game it is. He's one of those guys that will show up to a raid with pvp gear.
I'm not going to bash the guy for it.
